...I'd say Oregon was more than ready based on the fact that over $11 million in sales occurred in the first week alone!

And that's just dispensary sales. The black market is going crazy. Plenty of product and currently very easy to underprice the dispensaries. Craig's List is full of people selling various small containers (including ziplock baggies). When you buy a container, they give you free weed! Only in America!

Lol, we love our weed in Oregon thats for sure. Just wait till the outdoor harvests start hitting the markets, it will be flowing green till Christmas, so stock up.

Oregonians are born ready; but it took us old guy’s decades of selective breeding.

I really have been enjoying going into a dispensary and trying a gram of this and a gram of that. That way, if I don't like it, I'm not out much money. And I get to try strains I've only heard about prior to legalization. Plus, I know it's (supposedly) grown according to certain requirements, what the THC and CBD is etc. My only complaint so far is, it's either pre weighed/prepackaged or, when they weigh it out, they're the only one who sees what the scale reads. I have yet to have it weighed in such a manner that I can see the scale readout. I'm not saying (or implying) anyone is fudging the scales but, from my "child of the sixties and seventies" viewpoint and experience., that's just bad dope etiquette. I'm used to a more....collaborative(?)......arrangement. But that's just nit picking. I've been very pleased with my experience so far, especially in terms options for pain management or relief. Between legalization and the new look Blazers, I'm loving the coming years!

Have any of you found any good high cbd recreational dispensaries?

I went to that happy leaf place on Broadway today looking for some high cbd. Their menu showed Suzy q which was 13.2% cbd - .76% thc, and of course I drive all the way over there not calling first as I suggested earlier. Low and behold they were sold out of it. Fortunately they were really nice there and told me they had some ACDC which is 16% cbd - .6% thc, so I got a pre roll of that.

I'd definitely recommend this place for the friendly staff and cbd selection.

I made my second legal purchase today and it was a joy..early in the morning, nobody else there..much bigger variety and some more affordable choices..picked up 3 different samples and haven't tried them but love having a variety.

Key advice from an old smoker..don't overload a pipe..put in enough to burn to white ash with one hit..hold it...wait half an hour and repeat...every hit tastes good

I've only been to three dispensaries so far. The highest CBD I've stumbled across so far is 12%, with a THC of 7+%. Did wonders for sharp pain. I'm curious to see what even higher CBD will do. As far as finding it, Leafly doesn't appear to keep particularly current, and I expect that will get worse until the recreational places settle in. So calling is always recommended. But I do love Leafly. Very informative and helpful when you're wondering what might work when.

Also, there are some good strains out there that have high THC and almost no CBD that work wonders on pain. But don't plan on driving......and have munchies handy.

Try a little grinder as well. It will make your weed burn more evenly and kind of unlocks the flavors and smells. That way also you never end up with that little charcoal chunk that tastes like poop and needs to be crushed up.

This was posted earlier in the thread and is a good summary of the effects and benefits of CBD.

I've tried 4 samples of 1 gram apiece and it's interesting. There are so many different types ...local shop has about 40-50 recreational strains. I'm going to find the 4 types I can use for different purposes and then purchase a clone of each strain..should take me until spring to figure it out. I prefer the active, just go out of the health spa and feel like rearranging my bookshelves high as opposed to the stupor haze types. One strain is almost like endorphines kicking in after a workout. Another is a sleep aid which I don't need...ever..but my son does

I always preferred Mary Jane over Ginger.

Oh, wait, that was Mary Ann.

    Never mind.
