They've been in a wad since I've known you.

Anyhow, I can't help but wonder if the polls drive the results over the long haul. Poor results over the short term cause candidates to drop out. Maybe democrats should be nominating Webb if all things equal. Over the longer term, seeing your guy behind for poll after poll might make you stay home. Less informed voters might just jump on the bandwagon of the guy leading in the polls.. If the pollsters are skewing the polls, it's no surprise the results are skewed, too.

The broader picture is one where republicans dominate the House elections, took the senate too, and there are 31 republican governors to 18 democrats.

You'd think maybe the republican presidential candidate might win 31 states to 18 in the electoral college, too.

Nice Guys Finish Last. And That’s Why Only Donald Trump Can Beat Hillary Clinton
Wayne Allyn Root is a bestselling author. His latest book is: “The Power of RELENTLESS!” Dubbed by the media as “the Capitalist Evangelist,” Wayne is a former Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee, international business speaker, serial entrepreneur and conservative media personality – appearing on over 5,000 interviews in the past five years. Wayne’s web site: ROOTforAmerica.com.

Sorry folks, love him or hate him only Donald Trump has the chutzpah, audacity, street smarts, killer instincts and vicious lawyers to fight Hillary Clinton and win.

Do you understand what we’re up against? Have you seen what the Clinton war machine is capable of? Have you seen what the Obama-Clinton regime is willing to do to win?

Do you understand Barack Obama met with the IRS chief more than any cabinet officer (157 times)?

During this time the IRS just happened to target, persecute and intimidate only conservative groups and high-profile Obama critics (like me).

Then Obama appointed a Democrat donor to head the IRS investigation.

Then he allowed the IRS Commissioner to oversee the destruction of evidence(thousands of Lois Lerner’s emails) and lie to Congress.

And then, just days ago, the Justice Department had the audacity to decline to prosecute former IRS official Lois Lerner (even though she plead the fifth rather than incriminate herself by testifying in front of Congress).

Do you realize it was the same Department of Jutice that conspired with Lois Lerner to figure out how to send conservatives to jail for the crime of running tax emexpt organizations?

And all of this happened with Obama, IRS officials, Democrats in Congress and DOJ lawyers keeping a straight face.

This folks is an arrogant crowd that believes with the media’s help, they are above the law. Even the Gambino Crime Family couldn’t dream up a conspiracy like this.

They are so confident the Republican wimps in Congress will never stand up to them and so secure they’ll always have the support of the liberal media that despite all of these revelations, the IRS Commissioner recently admitting the agency is still holding up tax exempt status for conservative groups.

And still conducting witch-hunts against high-profile Obama critics like the Christian conservative family that owns Hobby Lobby.

The thugs of the Obama administration are so brazen, even the glare of public light won’t stop them from targeting, persecuting and intimidating anyone who dares to oppose this president.

You can bet the DOJ will soon announce they are not prosecuting Hillary either for purposely deleting 32,000 emails, or for transmitting classified top-secret documents on her private email account. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out that’s precisely why Joe Biden decided not to run. The fix is in. He already knows the DOJ will not indict.

We are about to be facing a Clinton war machine so bold, so brazen, so arrogant and so criminal they were willing to trade favors and government contracts awarded by Hillary’s State Department for billions of dollars in “donations” (aka bribes) from foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation.

Don’t forget the foundation itself is a sham that spends almost nothing on charity (they took in $130 million in 2013 and spent $9 million on direct aid). This is all going on in broad daylight.

The Clintons take multi-million dollar tax deductions for charitable donations to their foundation, then the foundation pays lavish salaries and travel expenses to Clinton friends and family.

And, don’t forget the Clintons are such hypocrites they accept tens of millions of dollars in “donations” from Muslim countriesthat mistreat women and violate the human rights of gays, while lecturing us on the so-called “Republican war on women.”

    That’s what we’re facing.

This is going to be the most vicious, ruthless, no-holds-barred war conservatives have ever seen. There is no level these people won’t stoop to retain control of the White House and control trillions of dollars of patronage handed out to Democrat donors, bundlers, and corrupt unions.

Into the fray steps Donald Trump. Many Republican, conservative, and Christian leaders turn up their nose.

In this Sept. 25, 2015, file photo, Republican presidential candidate, businessman Donald Trump, speaks during the Values Voter Summit in Washington. (AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana, File)

“He’s not conservative enough.” “He’s not a nice guy.” “He’s too vicious.” “He’s not one of us.” “He’s never served in office.” “He doesn’t have detailed policies.”

Well I have news for conservatives. Trump is our last best chance to save America. There is no plan B. There’s only one man vicious and courageous enough to fight back and win against the Clinton war machine. His name is Donald Trump.

    Here’s why.

First, Trump understands how to fight to win. He has experience in the trenches of New York real estate – the only business close to the dirty game of politics. Trump has the killer instincts to win in a war against vicious people devoid of morals like the Clintons. This is no game for nice, well-mannered people. This is no time to bring knives to a gun fight. Trump will bring a laser-guided nuclear missile. That’s the only way to beat the Clintons.

Second, Trump is the only candidate with the chutzpah to point out to America in the strongest terms possible that Hillary is a criminal whose actions make her more deserving of the Big House than the White House. He won’t hesitate to run ads “Willie Horton-ing” Hillary with photos or videos of illegal aliens who have murdered American citizens. Trump will put the Clintons on defense. Trump will never apologize – he’ll just attack. No other Republican has the skills to pull this off.

Third, only Trump has the audacity and willingness to investigate and prosecute Democrats who have run roughshod over the U.S. Constitution. I’m not as worried about Trump’s conservative principles, as I am excited by the prospect of making Obama, Hillary, Eric Holder, Valerie Jarrett, Jonathan Gruber (the architect of the Obamacare fraud), and top IRS officials pay for their crimes against the American people and violations of the Constitution. This is the exact pledge Trump should run on. The American people, including the millions of conservative and working class voters who stayed home for John McCain and Mitt Romney, will come out in record numbers to support anyone promising to put the criminals in the Obama administration in prison.

Lastly, this election will be won by the GOP only if we have the balls and brains to spend tens of millions of dollars on armies of vicious lawyers who will stop voter fraud. My belief is this is how Democrats are stealing elections – by bringing illegal aliens to the polls and stuffing ballot boxes. Only Trump has an army of lawyers so vicious, ruthless and brilliant that no one in New York wants to do battle with him. Trump doesn’t lose. His lawyers are the best. I grew up in New York. I’ve heard for decades now from my smartest friends, “never go to battle with Trump.” It’s time the GOP played this game to win.

It’s time to stop being nice guys. Stop being stupid. Stop being naïve. Politics isn’t for nice guys. We will not beat Hillary with country club rules and good manners. It’s time to stop bringing knives to a gun fight. As Charlie Sheen says, “I like winning.”

Stop worrying about Donald Trump’s “conservative credentials.” Start worrying about President Hillary Clinton. Only one person can play by the Clinton’s rules and beat them at their own game.

Our children’s future is at stake. The future survival of America is at stake. The survival of small business and the middle class is at stake. It’s time to break out the nuclear weapon. It’s time for Trump.

Trump leads GOP nationally ahead of third debate
Most Republican voters want someone from outside of the political establishment to win their party's nomination for the presidential election
Republicans haven’t lost their appetite for presidential debates: two in three Republicans claim they will be watching on Wednesday night, about the same percentage that said they would watch the first two GOP debates. Half of Republicans in the latest Economist/YouGov Poll say they are very interested in the debate, and one in four believe debate performances will be veryimportant in deciding how they will vote in their party’s nominating competitions.

What will Republicans be looking for in the debates? Two in three Republicans believe it’s more important to find a candidate who agrees with them on the issues than to have a nominee who can win a general election. Democrats are also looking for the same thing – issue similarity is more important to them than electability.

But Republicans part ways with Democrats when it comes to what issues matter most. Although the CNBC debate is meant to focus on economic issues, two in three Republicans agree that foreign policy issues are very important in determining their vote next year: the fight against ISIS, as well as the Iran nuclear deal. Republicans also name immigration reform and the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) as very important. 57% name tax reform.

The biggest issues for Democrats are quite different: economic inequality, guns, climate change, and money in politics. Only tax reform interests both parties equally.

Democrats and Republicans also differ on the importance of a candidate’s experience within the political system. For Democrats, experience is a positive; for Republicans it is a negative. Of course, the major Democratic candidates have been elected officials, while the top two Republicans have never been elected to political office.

The Republicans horserace continues to be dominated by businessman Donald Trump and neurosurgeon Ben Carson. Trump is still the leader in the latest Economist/YouGov Poll, with Carson in second place. Florida Senator Marco Rubio is the highest ranked Republican elected official. Those three are the only Republican candidates who score in double digits with registered voters who think of themselves as Republicans.

Trump and Carson are effectively tied when first and second choice preferences are combined. 43% of Republicans choose Trump first or second; 42% say Carson is their first or second choice. Rubio is far behind those two, but runs ahead of Jeb Bush, his Florida colleague.

The Economist/YouGov Poll includes the responses of 2,000 adults nationwide. The larger sample size means there are about 500 self-identified Republicans, and it is possible to look at subgroups within the party. Trump runs equally well with men and women, though his first choice margin over Carson is bigger among men than it is with women. Carson runs ahead of Trump in the Midwest; Trump leads in all other regions.

41% of Republicans this week believe Trump is their party’s likely nominee. And three in four Republicans think he can defeat the Democratic nominee, whomever that is. But Trump is not the only Republicans thought of as a possible fall winner. As many think Carson could win as think Trump can; Majorities of Republicans also see Rubio and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush as possible winners.

It's a pretty thorough poll. Those overall votes are from dems, indies and repubs

Only the repubs get to vote on their candidates on primary. But all for overall stats

Trump Change: More GOP Voters Than Ever Say He’s The Man
Bang! More Republicans than ever think Donald Trump will be their party’s presidential nominee next year.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 74% of Likely Republican Voters believe Trump is likely to end up as the GOP nominee, with 34% who say it is Very Likely. The overall finding is a 16-point jump from a week agoand up eight points from Trump’s previous high among Republicans of 66% in early September. This is also the highest number to date who see a Trump nomination as Very Likely.

Just 23% of GOP voters say “The Donald” is unlikely to capture the Republican nomination, but that includes only six percent (6%) who consider it Not At All Likely. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

When Trump first announced his candidacy in mid-June, just 27% of Republicans felt his nomination was likely.

Among all likely voters, 57% say Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee, with 22% who view it as Very Likely. Both these findings are also record highs since Rasmussen Reports began the weekly Trump Change survey in mid-August. Thirty-nine percent (39%) still say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, with 16% who say it is Not At All Likely.

Trump’s jump coincides with a good week-and-a-half by Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton who triumphed in her party’s first presidential race debate last week and got a big boost from Vice President Joe Biden’s decision not to challenge her. She also emerged unscathed from a lengthy appearance yesterday before the congressional committee investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya in 2012.

In a hypothetical matchup between the two, Trump and Clinton are in a near tie, but a sizable 22% prefer some other candidate.

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.

The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted on October 20-21, 2015 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

As long as the GOP race remains competitive, Rasmussen Reports will continue tracking Trump’s surprisingly successful early run for the White House in a weekly Friday feature we’re calling Trump Change.

Most Democrats (53%) still say Trump is not likely to be the GOP nominee, but 57% of voters not affiliated with either major party disagree.

Sixty percent (60%) of whites think the billionaire developer is the likely Republican standard-bearer, a view shared by only 40% of blacks and 52% of other minority voters.

Conservatives believe much more strongly than moderates and liberals that Trump is the likely winner of the GOP presidential contest.

Entrepreneurs and those who work in the private sector are a lot more convinced than government workers that Trump will go all the way.

Trump made news this week with reports that he is continuing to finance his own campaign unlike his Republican rivals who are relying on campaign donations and that he agrees with British Prime Minister David Cameron’s plan to close mosques that harbor Islamic radicals.

Eighty percent (80%) of all voters view the constitutional guarantee of freedom of religion as Very Important, but half (49%) also feel that the government does not focus enough on the domestic terror threat of radical Islam.

The last thing a struggling Jeb Bush needs to do is have his campaign focus on defending an unpopular president of recent memory, even if is his brother.

Prior to yesterday’s congressional hearing, most voters said Clinton has not been telling the truth about what happened in Benghaziwhen she was secretary of State, according to a new Full Measure-Rasmussen Reports national survey.

Clinton has said the president’s plan to exempt up to five million illegal immigrants from deportation doesn’t go far enough, but most voters still oppose Obama’s plan. Trump says he will crack down strongly on illegal immigration and deport those who are here illegally.

Additional information from this survey and a full demographic breakdown are available to Platinum Membersonly.

Showing that this early in the game is pulling the cart before the horse. In the primaries, you look at which candidates will lead in the election that effects you now. I can guarantee that number changes when Trump wins the primaries and he gets full support of the republicans.

There is a reason why 71% of republicans believe that trump will win the election.

I will repeat. This poll is meaningless because Trump, Carson or Jeb aren't running against Hillary. They are running against each other. Use the polls vs. each other and then you can see the head to head polls vs the democrat candidate after you win the primaries.

Reason? Because you gain the lion's share of republicans vs any democrat. That greatly skews the numbers. The current poll still has the supporters for each candidate and goes away from the leader.

    Your logic fails, sorry.

Those republicans will run against Hillary if nominated. The "if nominated" is assumed part of the poll question for the general election.

You need to explain why Carson beats Hillary but Trump does not.

Even Bush beats her in a head to head matchup, currently.

Well you post one poll, then watching morning Joe on MSNBC say 75% of republicans believe that Trump is the best candidate to take down Hillary. I'm curious which poll you used and if they counted democrats in it.

As for the logic flaw, I completely disagree. There are die hard Republicans that will refuse to vote democrat. Those same republicans could easily not vote Trump because they have their heart for Jeb, Carson, Cruz or any other candidate at the time. When trump wins the primary, that support will easily go to trump.
