It requires a lot of lineup management to get the best out of this team quarter to quarter, but a lineup of bombers and offensive rebounders can really clean up.

Good observation. I tweeted that out to a number of people but wanted to acknowledge it's origin...in case some hyper-sensitive morning talk show host thinks I stole it.

Great work TBpup. I would actually add that Ed Davis should be compared to our back up PF's/C's from last year.
(which rotated quite a bit last year) Great all around game for a starter, let alone a bench player.

I would keep Plumlee in the starting lineup though. 6 assists from our center is huge.

Yep, and he did that in limited minutes due to foul trouble. I like the flow when Plumee is in the game.

The difference between last year to this year is a 2-trick pony verses a stable of mustangs. The Blazers of old were very plodding and mastered the half court. This new Blazer version are all runners - even our bigs are bringing up the ball pushing the tempo. While this Blazer fan's expectations are still tempered, I love this new look team. EVERYONE is hustling at both ends of the court and there is no let up to the hustle when the 2nd unit filters in. I'd much rather win 25 games with pure hustle than more with a slowed up, aging group.

A few well-designed screens/cuts can make up for a lack of a low-post presence. Sloan! Sloan! Sloan! At least pay him to be a consultant. :)

It could be fun to see the starters minutes down closer to 25-30 so all the guys have plenty of energy to run the whole game.

I think there was a better thread on this but couldn't find it. Anyway, just noticed that LaMarcus had 5 blocks last night. Maybe he could have been encouraged more to do that here?

And chipped in 6 points on 3/10 shooting. LOL!
He also has the 11th "best" AFG% on his team. That's pathetic - especially for a PF. If he were still on the Blazers the only guys he'd be shooting better than are Frazier, Pat, Noah, and Kaman. Yeah, that means even Henderson and Aminu sport better AFG% than LMA.

Yea hes an expensive role player at this point of his career now.. I cant imagine even though their winning deep down hes happy about that.
