    Presti is the smartest GM in the league. He has positioned himself into a job where its successful to fail for years. If they still suck a half decade from now he can say "the plan is continuing to work!"

    I thought the SW was supposed to be the toughest division in basketball and the NW was supposed to be the doormat division. Not looking like it so far (and I fully expect this post to be "bumped" sometime in December, but let's enjoy it while we can).

    I don't think anyone ever doubted that he was. The slight has always been that they are paying Melo this huge contract and then draft a guy who is a few years away.

    He has a no trade clause. I could definitely see him traded by February but its gonna be a city La La enjoys. Probably in the East too. Miami would be my guess.

    I have no idea what she wants. Maybe it would be fine.

    But for Melo I think he'd want to go to a contender and the East is wide open. Even with Melo the Pelicans are likely 6th or 7th in the conference.

    Miami might be 2nd right now.
