I don't want to make this about Stotts, I think he's a good coach and maybe I get angry at him because I somehow respect him, it's more than that.

You know who's the player in my avatar? Some of you may remember Armon Johnson.
Armon Johnson to me is a player who could have had a much better career and never got a real chance. You may think he wasn't that good but you can't argue he got a real chance.

We need another distributing PG off the bench for when Dame or CJ sits. I think it's obvious even if we win. Frazier was NBDL MVP, he's at least worth a rotation spot for that in his resume.
IMHO he was very impressive in Summer League. So my question is, Why shouldn't he play?

There won't be any minutes for Frazier when hendo comes back. CJ and Dame will get 35-36 as starters and hendo will probably get 30. Those are your guards, with CJ getting some work at backup point.

Yes, i think that's the main "issue" ( a good problem to have tho).
When is Henderson coming back anyways??

Yes but I think it's not good thinking, that players deserve minutes based on their resume or numbers or whatever. Right now we need Frazier to play, if Henderson outplays him than so be it but to keep him on the bench because maybe when Henderson comes back he could be more effective isn't the right way to go. If Henderson is more effective you play him instead but anyway, you go with what works

The reason why CJ and Dame are sucking up the most minutes is to build chemistry between them. CJs development is more essential than the contribution of Fraizer IMO.

Let's be real here. We aren't really trying to make the playoffs. We are trying to develop our core.

Dame and CJ together is the best backcourt we have but when one of them sits our best option is Frazier

Hendersons a better player. And and a vet. And possibly the 2nd voice behind Dame in the locker room. And his resume is more than a good summer league and "NBA D-League MVP"

Good point. It is a very long season and Frazier will get plenty of opportunity before it is over. But right now I think it is important to give CJ every opportunity to grow at both spots. Listening to Neil the last few months it is clear he thinks highly of CJ and that he and Dame can play well together.

Although making the playoffs is not essential, I do think it is important for them as players to be in the hunt. Give them the opportunity to try to make the post season. It is much more fun for them and I think it will help with their focus and development. So play your best players for now in order to win AND while developing your young nucleus.

FWIW, here are the other NBDL MVPs over the past 14 years.

Not seeing one yet that has made an impact after their MVP season. Matt Carroll, maybe. The fact that it's on Frazier's resume means nothing to his ability to contribute to an NBA team.

In the NBA, too. Before he destroyed his knee.

I wouldn't consider him an NBDL caliber player, but an NBA player who played in the NBDL to rehab from serious injury.

Didn't they draft him the same year Tim Floyd took over?

Point is, NBDL MVP doesn't mean squat in terms of "deserving" time on an NBA team. Even after his MVP season, Fizer became an overseas guy, despite having previously demonstrated NBA-level ability. And Frazier is no Fizer.

    We're in violent agreement.

Few guys that start out in NBDL ball make it to the NBA and contribute. They're usually 10 day contract guys.

Dan Dickau could've won NBDL MVP multiple times over; same with a lot of end of bench guys. They are REALLY good. Just not NBA contributor good.

This is Tim Fraizer. He is not. good. Why are you complaining about this topic, once again, especially after a win?

    Frazier sucks, get over it
