    He's soft and scared out there. I hate this young guy exuses how come Julius Randall kills ? He missed his whole rookie season and is the same age? I just don't see vonleh as anything special

    Respectfully sir, the (0 and 4) Julius Randle has nothing to lose. Julius Randle is also a starter who's been given Carte Blanche. If Vonleh plays selfishly he might be out of the rotation all together. Completely different situation.

    Seriously, even if JR was ahead of schedule over Vonleh, why do you or any non-Laker fan care? I care much more about how Vonleh plays in the 2017-18 season than I do about this one.

    Not on D, but he's got a better all around game.

    Aminu:
    Defense = 9/10
    Offense = 5/10

    Harkless:
    Defense = 7.5/10
    Offense = 8/10

    Harkless is still quite good on defense, but clearly Aminu is better. However, Aminu is horrible with the ball in his hands. I don't mind him taking shots when he receives a pass, but when he dribbles more than twice something bad is going to happen.

    Thanks for that link. No doubt CJ is very confident right now. He has been reading everything people say about him and it sounds like he disagrees.

    Those are your personal ratings. I guess I just don't agree with them. Also, saying Al Farouq Aminu is horrible with the ball this something I simply don't agree with either.

    Yeah, of course this is all personal opinion. I think most people like Aminu as much as they do because they hated Nic. But from an objective POV Aminu is not better than Nic or Harkless on offense. If he sticks to shooting when open, and playing for garbage-man points he'll be perfect. But when he tries to create offense it's ugly - like way worse than Gerald Henderson ugly.

    Here's a few reasons to like Aminu.

    With Nic, there was always this sense of lack of commitment and playing without desire. I appreciate guys like Aminu that might suffer a a very slight deficit of natural talents and gifts, (compared to elite players) but make up for it with sheer pluck and determination.

    I see a lot of Kersey in Aminu.

    Don't get me wrong - I like Aminu, I just like him a lot more on the defensive side of the ball than when he has the ball in his hands. I think Stotts is the one that's telling him to try to create offense - during the summer he said he planned on using him similarly to how he used Nic. But, I think Stotts is an idiot and should focus on what players do well rather than trying to force them to be clones of players he's previously coached. Give Aminu the green light for spot-up 3s, run him off lots of screens moving towards the basket, and have him crash the offensive boards for put-backs, but don't pretend he can create off the dribble.

    I tend to like players who have well-rounded games better than specialists, so personally I think I'll probably like Harkless more than Aminu. With that said I think Aminu fits in the starting line-up very well, and Harkless can be (yet another!) 6th man candidate.

    Julius Randall? How is he even relevant? Where were Damian and CJ at the age of 20? They were still in college. CJ got hurt his rookie year and look how he played at first, and that was at the age of 22. People development at different rates and ages, so don't just arbitrarily compare him to a random player that fits your argument.

    The guy has now played in a total of 30 games in limited minutes, give him some time. He looks unsure and unconfident, but I think the way to go is to continue to give him consistent minutes and he'll work through it, as opposed to sending him away from the team and down to the d-league.

    Lets remember the purpose of this season is to development the young guys and see what we've got. We're not exactly in win now mode.
