Because he doesn't want to be hated. It burns him up that Dame is more marketable than him. It probably hurts his feelings that people are pissed at him. Frankly, I think he'll play like crap if people boo him. He never really played better when someone got under his skin.

They should chant MVP for most valuable pussy. Somehow our fans could make it out to be like that as opposed to Most Valuable Player.

I don't think LA really deserves to have people be mean to him. I don't want to see him get booed. But I wouldn't clap for him either.

It'll be fun to be on the other end of all of LaMarcus' missed jumpers and bad shots!

If LaMarCooch had been forthright and forthcoming about the fact he wanted to play in Texas and be near his kids I don't believe he would be getting one-tenth of the hostility he's getting. I certainly would understand.

But he didn't do that. Instead he not only deceived, but worse he left us hanging out to dry, getting nothing in return, and necessitating a complete rebuild.

Of course, if he'd been traded to his desired location that team would have had to give up players and assets, and would no longer have been an attractive destination or a team on which he would likely achieve a high level of success.

So, looking out for his own best interests, which is somewhat understandable, he lied and left us destitute. Looking out for our best interests, it is somewhat understandable that some of us are pissed off and resentful, and hope his selfishness goes unrewarded.

I hope his career crashes and burns and he rues the day he left the Trail Blazers.

More immediately, I hope he gets his ass kicked tonight.

    Go Blazers!!

Who cares if he had a problem with Lillard. Not everyone is going to get along. How do you know that Wes Mathews didn't have a Problem with Lillard? Just because it's not public doesn't mean he didn't. And I would also bet that Mathews & Aldridge are still friends and I bet that would bother some fans.

There was a rumor going around that Lillard drank like a fish. I bet that's why LaMarcus left.

the bitter bitchfest @S2 continues, just precious. My guess is LA left for the same reason no free agents of consequence ever sign in Portland... the same reason top talents always migrate to bigger markets. LaMarcus played on a couple bad teams but several very good one's too. A few playoff highlights... vs the Suns

    Houston

& of course Dwight Howard was throwing people around like rag dolls in crunch time without consequences a couple years back when Portland prevailed on Lillard's miracle. Players play to win and the NBA stacks the deck against markets that don't deliver ratings.

An honest statement would have flown over like a led balloon with both the league and PDX fans... "Well Jason I left because I wanted a chance to win & we both know that doesn't happen here." Having seen the SOS for decades now, I blame the system not the individual.

When did San Antonio suddenly become a big market?

Ironic The Glove was in attendance as Danny Green gets three free throws for drifting into a straight up player and brushing the hair of their arms together. What a joke.
