No offense, but silly question. This is Portland. The last team we want to get Simmons is the Lakers. No other answer.....

If we can't have him then send him East. No West teams please.

Lakers is obvious but my curveball answer is the T-Wolves. Luckily They shouldn't suck enough to have a chance unless somehow they get lucky in the lotto. Imagine Simmons, Wiggins and Towns on that team in the future.

Minnesota. A lineup including Wiggins/Simmons/Towns would have the potential to be a 60's Celtics-level dynasty.

Second for me is New Orleans. I don't want Davis and Simmons on team together.

    Rockets.

Lakers are bottlenecking Randle, I'd have no reason to believe they wouldn't do the same thing to Simmons.

    Philly.

They've been blatantly tanking since the Noel draft.

Yeah Lakers is obvious but I still like seeing it.

My second choice is Philly because they've made such a mockery of professional basketball. The only way I'd like to see them get the #1 pick is if Ben Simmons refuses to play for them and threatens to sit out the entire season to enter the next year draft. That would be awesome and the only way Sam Hinkie can get fired. Otherwise whenever the 76ers lose Hinkie can just say "its all going according to plan" and keep his job for a decade.

Their tanking has been pretty noticeable. So it is nice to see them fall on their face. You have to admit that they did a good job on the Noel for Jrue holiday trade though. He hasn't really helped the pelicans at all.

I agree. This would be my choice out of the poll options.

I'd have to say purely from a competitive standpoint it'd have to be the TWolves. A Wiggins, Towns, Simmons trio would be unreal; they could all be the top3 MVP choices in 5 years.

I'd rather see the Wolves win 10 straight titles than see the Lakers get anyone good. Some of you people are crazy to me, but I'm a cut off my nose to spite my face type of guy.

I agree with that. The only thing is I'd rather the Blazers win 1 title than whatever happens with the Lakers or Wolves. A Wolves dynasty could possibly beat us in the WCF if we were so lucky to build that good of a team. I still voted for the Lakers but it gives me pause; for a fraction of a millisecond. Then I remember fuck the Lakers.

What might take thought is would you be ok with the Lakers winning multiple titles interrupted by the Blazers winning one. ?????

I really don't know at this moment.

Considering our luck with #1 picks I would have to say us.

Easy yes for me. We haven't won a title since 77 before I was born and in a league with 30 teams winning one anytime soon would be worth whatever other teams win.

The Lakers are such a mess right now I have zero concern with them winning titles soon.

I say yes but it is not easy at all.

A world full of puffed up snobby Laker fans hurts us all beyond sports.
