I think Milwaukee would disagree. They traded Brandon Knight for that guy, and I don't think they're going to pop smoke after only one year.

Why would it be perfect? I have not been following him this year. Is he a good defender? I get why we would want a tall PG to play with either Dame or CJ, but unless he excels at guarding SG's then he would not help. Also he would need to be able to hit an open outside shot to keep the defense from doubling. Is he good at either one? I guess I will find out tonight.

He has been struggling a ton this year. They've benched him in favor of Bayless a couple times. He gets a lot of assists, and he's always a triple double threat, but the guy can't shoot.

A guy that can't shoot in a system designed for shooters.

    Yeah. Perfect trade...

Let's pair him with Rondo, Rubio, and Dre Miller!

Why don't people remember how much MCW didn't want to come to Portland?

We need to better define the roles, we need better heirarchy.
If we don't trade for someone like MCW then Frazier needs to play this role. We need to focus on having a realistic inside-rotation with Plumleee, Davis and Leonard being the main players. Vonleh could be a Boris Diaw type, Aminu could play 4 in a small lineup and Alexander I think has a lot more in him than he was able to show so far.
I want Gerald Henderson playing more, right now he's getting 15 minutes with Harkless playing maybe 10 minutes, I would trade Harkless to make room for Henderson playing more.
IF we trade Frazier, Harkless and Alexander it works for both teams, the Bucks get a strong inside player, Frazier who could get minutes and pay dividends for them and Harkless who could get a better chance there.
We need this type of trade to get maybe a more established player but also as a consolidation move. We have very good players not getting any minutes, our rotation is too deep right now and good talent is wasted.

So we bring in lesser talent to a team with a shooters system?

I mean, just making sure we got this. MCW is not good.

He is good but it's not even about making this trade. I think we need better-defined roles anyway.
I personaly would be happy if Frazier would just get more playing time instead of bringing in someone like MCW. Harkless and Henderson playing 25 minutes between them is redundant, I would keep Henderson and look to trade Harkless to a team that has more use for him. Alexander could get minutes but when we have 3 higher-profile inside players, then Vonleh, then Aminu playing 4, there aren't enough minutes for him.
I think we need to make a consolidation move to optimize the potential of this roster

I've never understood obsessing over a bench scrub like Frazier.

I believe it's the same poster that said montero should be a regular bench guy.

So... he has very little credit.

    We're 22 games in....

We need to be patient. Frazier more than likely won't even be on the team next year...

"I interviewed with Portland; I never went to work out with them," said Carter-Williams. "This year they had a point guard in Damian Lillard. If I get chosen by them, it's not something I can do, it's not a particular place where I choose to go, but I'd go there and make the best of it and then see what happens when my time comes."

    1. If you get drafted by a team, you play hard for the team that chose you. There are no other options. You don't:

    "make the best of it."

    2. Fuck him.

    3. He sucks.

there isn't a trade out there that will get the Blazers a player who is a game changer. Not sure there will be one this summer either.

Same with any free agent signings. The team has to improve through smart drafting. Hopefully they get a top 3 pick (obviously prefer the #1 pick if lucky).

Making a trade like this does nothing to improve the team both short term AND long term.

Eh, actually it might not be a horrible move. The guy is 6'6 and he's known to be a decent defender. His shot isn't great, but he has been one of the best at getting assists for my fantasy team. He might be exactly the kind of point guard that we need to play alongside Dame. He isn't a good shooter though. That's a fact, but that might be okay with Dame/Crabbe playing next to him.

I think Milwaukee could be the perfect team to target for a trade. They're underperforming and they have a lot of youth, but they want to make a push for the playoffs.

CJ, Hendo, Kaman for MCW, Henson, and Vasquez.

    MCW/Vasquez
    Dame/Crabbe
    Aminu/Harkless
    Henson/Leonard/Vonleh
    Plumlee/Davis

As Dviss pointed out, he was pretty negative about coming to Portland. Do you think his time in the league may have taught him a little humility? Or barring that unlikely event, some perspective?

I think he was negative about coming here because he wanted to start, and I think he could do that alongside Dame. At the time, we had Dame/Wes as our starting backcourt.
