Oh I don't know. Kristen Wiig is pretty funny. Not to say I'm dying to see a remake of one of my all-time favorite movies, but if the reviews are decent I'll probably rent it or stream it.
True, but Harold Ramis was pretty funny and he was only maybe the 3rd or 4th funniest person in the original film. He was much better as a director/writer.
Just watched the original at the gym a few weeks ago. Sigourney Weaver was soooooooo hot back then. I mean, she was a good actor who did a fine job. Her physical appearance has nothing to do with her talent. My bad.
I'll give it a go if it gets decent reviews. Whomever they cast they weren't going to be the comedy supergroup that played in the first one. So if that's the case, I actually think it's a good idea to try something completely different. Don't try and find people similar like they did in the Blues Brothers reboot, find totally different actors and give them something fresh and hopefully funny as dick. most likely a flop, but I think going all-chic is actually a pretty good risky move that bodes well for the flick.
