I've always maintained that any true blooded american can make a gun out of a hardware store if they needed one

"Mr. Marquez worked as a security guard at a Walmart."

Imagine all the things he had access to to make guns. And he got an employee discount! :MARIS61:

Apparently there's a new toy that you can buy that will machine an unregistered lower receiver. Basically like a 3D printer. They're extremely popular and really not that expensive. The ATF has been pretty anal about that kind of thing though. I remember there were some gas powered airsoft guns a few years back that people figured out how to convert into actual guns by swapping out parts. The ATF cracked down on it pretty quick though.

well it's legal to buy an 80% finished AR-15 (or other guns too) lower and finish the final 20% using a jig and a drill press. All that for $50-$100 and they work perfectly if you are careful. The upper you don't need ID for and can pick up for a couple bills. So if you don't mind doing a little work, for less than $400 you can get a legal AR-15 with no serial number to trace and the ATF will never know. No background checks at all. And for a couple more dollars and instructions off the internet you can turn that AR fully automatic (although at that point it becomes illegal unless you have a tax stamp).

You still have to go through a background check for the lower. That's any lower. That's the piece that has the serial number that matters. Unless you use one of these new printers and make an unregistered lower. But that's a pretty big risk.

Give a couple of guns to a friend and the feds make you out to be a criminal.

You are incorrect. If you buy an incomplete lower (80% or less) and finish it yourself there is no background check, no serial number for that matter.

I'm not talking about a lower that doesn't have the trigger and such, I'm talking about an aluminum lower that's not fully milled. After completion which includes drilling out the hole for the trigger and more, you still need to assemble the whole thing.

"After Mr. Marquez converted to Islam in 2007" Another recent convert. It seems there are clues that go unattended. The killer in Oklahoma cutting off the head of a woman was a recent convert to Islam also.

    Why do they ignore clues?

Ah okay, I was confused about what you were talking about. I thought you were talking about the kits where the lower isn't attached and you just have to attach the upper and pop in the pins
