Cocaine Live- one of the greatest 'live' tunes I've ever seen and heard, sounded like fkng GIANTS on stage, BIG big sound, rising up to the heaven's, yes I was wasted.....don't tell no one....

one of the more extreme videos of the latter 60s anti-war outcries, how did a peacenik become a war monger....?

    more later.....

Love this lady, from day one. Her 2nd LP cover photo was shot in the town Of Mojave (the trucker crossroads of America), seen her so many times I can barely keep track, an Angel in her time, singing a Gram Parsons tune:

can't forget the infamous Warren Zevon....ah oooh...!!

pour me another, joe, hell bring 3...!

    Fast Times......

No list would be complete without this one....

Ok, who will be the first to put up bananarama....?

I've been hearing this epic tune on the radio daily, not a bad song, I've always enjoyed it, and would even more if it weren't for that fkng Boy George, I swear couldn't they of just cut the bi-drag queen out or told him to stay home PLEASE...!

This is going to be one long post, as each minute ticks by, I can't help but think of the songs that shaped my musical interests.....all classics....

and no list would be complete without The Allman Bros, when Duane was still alive. I got to see them in Macon 1997, a good show, but not a great show, no Dickie Betts, no Duane, while Greg had a such a big belly, I was surpised he could reach his frets on his guitar, I never expected Greg to even pick up a Les Paul, and ES-335 Gibson, I expected Greg to be a fixture on the Grand Piano, like old times....

I lived right off of Highway 41, when I lived in Perry, GA. for 2 years, always thought of Duane losing his life on his Harley on the same road, then 6 mos after I got to Perry; I had promoted a hard working kid, to a salary position; on a Friday. That night, He and his girl drove his Z-28 Convertible; to Macon to celebrate drinking like fish. I stopped by his house 2 hours after everyone esle got off of work, and had a beer with him. The 2 were already drunk, and had already drank a 6 pack of Molson each; in 2 hours.

When Brian asked me to come along, to hit up Macon and celebrate, I begged him to stay home, and enjoy their BBQ. They were both too wasted to drive. But no one could talk him out of driving; and they drove to Macon, closing the bars. At 3am, he took a corner 2 miles north of Perry at 130 mph on Highway 41, hit the dirt berm going, slid off the road, hit a large ditch, flipped 7 times in the air, and on the ground, and wound up being ejected just 100 feet from my doorstep.

See the Church in this photo? See the White House to the left of it? Brian landed right in front of that church, his head just missing a brick sign, but it didn't matter, his head was cracked in 12 places. Brian wasn't even wearing his seat belt, but his girlfriend had hers on, saving Her life, suffering only broke an arm, and leg, and a broken heart, as her beau- Brian unfortunately survived, and it would of been a blessing had he of not lived. To this day he's a vegetable, can't feed himself, .......

I gotta' say seeing Brian in the ER/ICU, with tubes going into every hole in his body, with his head the size of a basketball, unrecognizable. His, was as bad as any trauma condition, of any human I've ever seen, (less one, a Little Leaguer on my Team, who was dragged under a Honda, for 100 feet, before the driver a young 16 year old, who just got her license, and never even heard or felt, or saw the 10 yr old, who darted out in front of her car on his bike, she only stopped from several neighbors who saw the accident, and were frantically yelling and waving at her to stop, not her fault, she was only going 10mph)....

I couldn't live in Perry much longer, after that incident really fkd with my head, and by the next year, I moved to Lake Charles.......

...ahhh, The Allman Bros....that takes me back. Saw thew a few times in concert back in the 70's...Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie joined them on stage at one of the concerts. (in Macon if I remember correctly"...Hall could sing his ass off and was very good on the harmonica too.

Never was a fan of the Videos, listening to the records set my imagination in gear. My favorite Allman Brothers tune is "Blue Sky".
