Probably will actually. I'm for aggressive gun control policies. This causes problems with my hardcore gun packing/lobbying friends who are "willing" to talk "background checks." But it won't make a "bit of difference, Ripcityboy! They'll still get the guns anyway." I don't press the issue with them like I should, probably. But there are certan sensitive issues they don't push with me. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
It was actually pretty great to watch. All sides got to share their opinions and get their questions answered. If you have a gun because you have been raped what he is proposing will not stop you from being able to get a gun. But it will stop is your rapist from being able to get one if they get out of prison.
If you rape someone and go to prison you can't get a gun when you get out? What if YOU get raped in prison and Bubba says he gonna get you again when he gets out?
Obama was the same hum hawing dull glad hander he always is. Just some reasonable common sense thing we should all agree on!! Well what I didn't hear was Proposal for an amendment to the Constitution that is reasonable and makes common sense. Why not?? That is our system! Why have a town hall and not proceed with the process our system provides? Only one answer, can you guess what it is?
I didn't watch it so enlighten me. My family of hunter/fisherman had more guns than I know of. My grandpa had a loaded revolver under the cushion of his rocking chair. I don't even know where they all ended up after he died. I assume you mean this will make it more difficult for Bubba to get a gun. Seeing as how criminals are lazy, maybe it will be too much trouble so he'll just stab someone? If someone wants a gun in this country they will get one.
Personally, I'd rather be stabbed than shot or try to fight off someone with a knife than a gun. If making sure people go through background checks stops 2000 murders per year that's 2000 families that won't have to deal with tragic loss. People who are acting like this is the precursor to a gun grab are really just grasping at straws.
This is one of those things where we city-folk can't outvote you rural yahoos, even though we outnumber you. Too many sparsely populated 'red states'. barfo
Good show barfo! That is half the answer. He can't get it to pass! It would never pass. The other half is, he doesn't want it to stop there, there is always the next step to be taken. You can't make that look good in multiple successive amendments to the same amendment.
That is an interesting point too, city-folk. But remember this, city folk do not quite vote or think as a block, it is just that more of the "F" (Feeling) type do live there. They slightly out number the "T" or logical thinkers in the general population but tend to migrate to the City. Where the T type tend to migrate out of the Urban environment when the opportunity is available. Thus the Cities will alway be in trouble due to their popular vote being continuously skewed in one direction, rarely correcting.
