“If the fans turn ... I will say this: I think the real fans of this organization, the real fans of this city, I don’t think they ever will,’’ Lillard said.

    The real fans won't. ;)

    I agree with him 169%

That trophy is going to taste sweet when he gets it through pulling our entire franchise to the top rather than tucking tail and running to Duncan's coat tails and taking a ride.

I don't know of anyone who has turned on him and if they have, they don't know basketball very well. Some people have questioned his production which given the first half of this year and the 2nd half of last year from an efficiency standpoint, seems reasonable. You want your franchise player shooting better than 41%...that is just smart.

Nobody has turned on Dame. Constructive criticism is not 'turning', it's being realistic of the job done.

We are so lucky to have dame. Fuck anyone who tries to say we should trade him.

He is everything we want in a leader and player on our team.

Better than Clyde, better than Roy, better than lamarsha, and better than Sheed.

Exactly. He hasn't been really that efficient even last year when he had tons of help.

The guy is a great leader though that's why it hurts he's not really the same from his first 2 years

This makes me so happy. I don't think Sheed wanted to leave though. We had won 8 of our last 10 games and he said he wanted to stay.

Sure....because he is taking so many shots and has the ball in his hands constantly. But people railed on LaMarcus for how low his shooting percentage (one of the most inefficient in the league) was and at this point, Dame's is lower. His '3's and FT's help a bit in total shooting percentage but I can't believe it's unreasonable to want better than 41%.

Thanks. I'm glad you're not one of the people who thinks questioning some things when your franchise player is shooting 41% and the team is playing < .400 ball is completely unreasonable. :biglaugh:

Lou Williams can have a career year in scoring with unlimited green light and shooting 40% from the field..

    Not that impressive..

Not pointing fingers at you at all. Someone might but not me. Stated that first.

It isn't unreasonable at all... But who else is going to shoot if not Lillard?
Nards passes up at least 4-5 shots a game that typical lead to a bad shot. by someone.
Animu isn't the most reliable shooter and frankly I'd rather Lillard shoot than him at any point.. Well unless it's a dunk...
Davis/Plumlee aren't all that talented offensively. Both hustle but they're just not that talented.
So you have Crabbe/CJ. Harkless I guess... oh and Henderson has been exactly what I expected.

Point is there are times when Lillard takes those deep 3's that everyone gets upset about. One can state that there are times when that is a better shot than some of these players dribbling only to pass it back to Lillard or CJ so they're forced to take a shot against the clock with a hand in his face.

Our 2 best players are like twins playing the same position, while we have weaknesses to address at positions other than Guard. So when trades for league stars are proposed on this board, you will often see Lillard or McCollum mentioned as bait. Deal with it.
