CJ is having a bounce back season? And it isn't sustainable?

You'd think if he was bouncing back to his norm as he makes it sound it would be somewhat sustainable.

Apparently the one thing that is sustainable is a guy pulling articles out of his ass and keeping his job.

Nothing wrong with saying it should be "explored" any good GM would be always looking at options. But the real question is trade him for who? Even if we end up paying him big bucks, he'll still have trade value as a scorer.

Yello, here's the thing. Crapzano is a columnist, ie; someone paid for their opinions. Like it or not, shit sandwich's deliver hits.

I really like CJ but if we could include Canzano in the trade I would strongly consider it.

I'm rusty on the trade provisions of the new CBA, but isn't there a clause requiring that we take back Screamin' A. Smith?

This is true. But none the less I have never disliked any Columnist more than him. And to be honest I am not sure why I hate his work so much. I just always do. Even when I agree with the premise of his "opinion". But somehow after reading some part of his article, I usually find myself thinking ...."he is just quoting some dumb ass fan and pretending it is his opinion". He never really sells me on his logic. I just don't think he really should be writing about sports.

Maybe if I didn't know what he sounded like on the radio I would respect his work more.......

Stupid idea.....at this point. He's the Robin to Lillard's Batman act. He's ranking with top guards. Nothing to dislike.

Wouldn't it be better to accept him and his limitations, and instead improve other positions of weakness (like SF and PF) and improve the team?
But yes, if Pelican's want CJ and will give us A Davis.....we'll accept. ; )

Is he playing worse with Dame back in the lineup though?

This is not consistent with what you have been saying all along. "Trade CJ." ;)

I wouldn't say he is playing worse due to a poor shooting night but if you think he is playing worse then not by much. In that case earlier in the year Dame was playing worse (having more off-nights) and CJ was playing better. Then of course CJ went even a level up on that once Dame was hurt.

I don't see a problem with them coexisting on the offensive end. Now defensive end is definitely still a work in progress.

Not against trading CJ but I think teams would try to steal him. Can't see us getting someone better than he.

With his track record, Canzano should never be allowed to utter an opinion regarding basketball. I'm serious. I envy any of you who have not been subjected to him long enough to have witnessed his horrible basketball takes over the years. Maybe someone can help with some of the draft picks he's championed (Pooh Jeter in the lottery, etc). Dumbest sports writer ever. And that's not even accounting for his unrelentingly boorish and condescending attitude, and the fact he's hated all things Oregon sports related since his very first article (yes, I read his very first column). If only that prick would just go back to Fresno where he belongs.

Same thing in the playoffs last year, though. CJ erupted when Dame struggled. It's nice having two guys who can get hot at any time and carry the team, but they can't seem to do it simultaneously. The extreme overlap in their games means it's difficult for more than one to shine at a time. They both seem okay with that, fortunately.

You might only remember the times when one does well and one struggles but there are plenty of examples when they both have big games. Game 1; CJ 37 and Dame 21, Game 5; CJ 27 and Dame 35, Game 6; Dame 27 and CJ 20. Just in our first 6 games I found 3 where they both scored high.

There is probably an easier way to do this then me going through box scores one by one but I don't think you will have a hard time finding 10 of our 41 games were they both scored 20 or more (and I am probably low-balling that number). If you bump down to 18 or more each then I bet you can find 18 games or more.

Dame certainly struggled in percentages the first 15 games or so but I don't think that was on CJ at all.

It has just been my impression that CJ plays better with the ball in his hands. I didn't believe it initially, but I think he could play the point for a team that wants a scoring point guard.

Who cares what he has to say? He's going to be out of a job soon when the Oregonian goes out of business with how clickbaity and shit it is now.

I knew someone would bring that up, but I changed my stance about a week ago... something Canzano is too afraid to do.

That's all Conzano is saying that it should be explored. I don't know why people get so upset at his articles.
