Nash is the first one who should be gone. I am so sick of this soft overpaid sieve who never shows up in this kind of games.

Nash had a bunch of chances and didn't finish. He needs to do more though I agree.

McD played well. He is a dman and did his job. I know you are not a big fan and expect him to score 85 points, but he was fine. The Isles scored 2 goals, 1 on the PP, so please don't mention the dmen.

Bad loss after we dominate for 2 periods and no one can finish a fucking play. Should have been up a bunch after 2. 3rd period and Hayes completely screws up and hands the isles the tying goal and dylan despite playing a real strong game up to that point takes a bad penalty and isles score on that too. Unfortunately for dylan, that means we will see him again in easter. We need a finisher or 2 very badly. I've also seen enough of megna tonight. Hate losing to the isles

You can see Hayes is just not mentally there, whether the benching or trade rumors are the reason who knows.

It is laughable how much this teams sucks that they have to put Jason fucking megna at the end of the games when they are down by a goal. It is sad.

When Nash is supposed to be your top goal scorer he's the biggest culprit. 12 goals and 29 points is not going to get it done.

Can we please just call this team what it is. A bust. This team will struggle to make it into the playoffs and probably be out in 5 or 6 if lucky. Stop with the whole "it's only such and such games into the season." You said that 20 games ago and things still haven't gotten really any better.

I'd rather we look to the future, trade Nash and get what we can for him, but most importantly cap space. Then get rid of Kreider or Hayes. Hopefully we can get Staal to waive his NTC but we will have to give up a younger player to have a team take him if we're lucky enough for him to agree to leave. If that happens then we can maybe convince Yandle to stay and we're off and rolling with a good defense of McD, Girardi, Klein, Yandle, Skjei and McIlrath. Now I'm a realist and I know barely any of that will happen, but ideally it'd be great if it did because we need a lot of new blood in here. This team is stale and needs a MAJOR shakeup. Problem is, there's too many NTC on this roster to make the major shakeup.

Yeah one on the pp because of a stupid McIlrath penalty.

Add a scoring forward and we'll be fine. As I have said ALL SEASON LONG it is the O not the D. Big picture, when push comes to shove, when games get bigger IT IS ABOUT THE O NOT THE D.

You guys are funny. The D has been fine recently. The O is the issue. Focus people...:).

What a showing 3rd period. Isles gave Rangers no space
to do anything in the offensive zone. Rangers were not able
    to create separation.
Hockey will always be a game of mistakes and the
Rangers made more of them; game to the Isles.

Nothing more, nothing less..........= a loss.

We're more than one scoring forward away. We need several finishers. There's not one player on this team that I look at and feel comfortable saying "he's a game clincher." They are all a bunch of "I hope he can score here" kind of guys. We need at least one REAL scorer and another good scorer for our top two lines. We can't be a one line team. We've been that before. It didn't work. When we were at our best we were rolling 4 lines. With the addition of Megna and Glass we're rolling 2 lines that have any sort of offensive capability, one line with Megna that who friggin knows and then one totally useless line with Glass. We also MUST move Staal. Regardless of the cost. He has to go. We need another defenseman who can move the puck and we have one in Skjei in the minors.

If you were told before the year that Kreider would have 6 goals after 42 games and wasn't hurt for a good chunk of them you would've been sick.

No one's saying hang the guy Chuck, but you need to use your head when the other team just scored and not give them further momentum. I actually think McIlrath was their best dman tonight.

I don't agree 94. If we can add a good solid scorer I think we can turn a corner. I say that because I simply have to assume Hayes and Kreider can only get better, they cannot be this bad all season. So add a scorer, and hope Hayes/Kreider get better and we will be okay...I truly believe that.

And while I would love Staal to be moved so we can resign Yandle, I just don't see it happening at all. We'll see though.

You know what they say about assumptions chuck. ;) And I'm saying move Staal REGARDLESS of if we move Yandle or not. He's got to go.

I just looked at the boxscore and shows the lack of physicality of our defense. In the whole game staal, mcd, yandle and boyle had 0 hits, klein had 1 and dylan with the least ice time had 5 in a game against the islanders. That should be impossible.

He took a penalty, it happens. We had a PP also later and didn't score. I realize players/people make mistakes. I won't kill McIlrath for a penalty.

Hayes on the other hand has had his head up his ass ALL season long. And his play was 3 bad plays in one, and frankly he looked disinterested and unmotivated on the play. He just has an air about him that he's like whatever. I don't like it.
