We enjoyed Fantasy, the comedian is hilarious. Have you seen Zumanity? That was good too. Haven't been to the Secret Garden and we stayed at the Mirage. The Maverick helicopter tours look fun. Where are you staying?
Luxor for $20-30/night not including resort fees Sunday through friday. That Friday night I think we might stay at mandalay bay so we can use the pool
Last Jan when we stayed at the Lux I did the $20 trick and got upgraded to the top floor of the tower. Have you ever stayed downtown? BJ pays 3-2 vs 6-5 on the strip, also we really like the stages with the bands.
I haven't. I've thought about doing that sometime on one of our trips. Have the stayed at the golden nugget? We usually head down that way at least once on our trip. I tried to look at the stratosphere, because it's kinda in between both old town and the new strip but it's actually a lot more Spendy than Luxor for me. The last couple times we have stayed at Excalibur cause I got comped rooms (and we barely spend any time in the room so we dont care for super fancy, also I think people overreact to the rooms not meeting their standards)
Also tix aren't too bad. I'm seeing $370ish for round trip for two with a carry on (non spirit airlines planes)
Stayed in a suite at the Golden Nugget a couple of nights the last trip, booked it through Hotels.com, really good deal. The Plaza just remodeled, suppose to be nice. Also last trip we rented a car and stayed a couple of nights at Red Rock. Free from MyVegas. That is a really nice resort. Very friendly. The standard room was nicer than the suite at the GN. It was fun checking out Red Rock Canyon in the rental car.
Really? It's by far my favorite. Love it more than Hawaii, Cali etc. Cheap to get to Vegas. Multiple comps available for the taking. Tons of stuff to do (with a major variety of things to do). It's like a grown ups Disneyland imo
@SlyPokerDog Which airline do you usually take? I've been watching fares the past week, and flights have been selling out fast. 95% of the flights are all one stop too. Sucks ass. I'm thinking of spending just a little extra for virgin airlines
Alaska had a special last Christmas for $59 each way and no bag fees. Last October I went Southwest, $89 each way and always no bag fees. Both times were direct.
How far out did you buy the tickets? I don't really have a choice, going to a wedding of a friend where I will be a groomsman. and unfortunately the time he picked is a time they have a couple conferences going on. But like I said, I'm getting a stay at the Luxor for pretty frickin cheap, so it all works out. Mostly I just fly Spirit or Alaska when going to Vegas, but its like $10/person extra to go Virgin, and looking at pictures of the plane, it appears they are much nicer.
If you fly Virgin let me know how you like it. I never mind spending a little more. What do rates look a couple of days earlier than when you are planning on going? You could always fly in early and chill downtown.
Virgin is a dope ass airline, especially for a 2 hour flight, its worth it. I flew spirit this weekend to chicago, i upgraded to their premium seat and it was fucking broken so i was in a middle seat for 4 hours. blah
