Everything is in a vacuum with him, don't worry.

Meyers deserves to start because he did well in garbage time with no pressure. LOL. Right.

How many people want to change your vote? HAHA. I voted after the game for the Blazers, but this was the sucker punch in the nuts I didnt see coming. I thought if we won 1 of 3, this would be the one.

As far as Meyers goes. Keep him right where he is. Off the bench and getting quality minutes. He is getting better but he needs more time just like the rest of the team. I do like the fact that he is shooting quicker and realizing he can shoot over a guy 6-4.

My growing and glaring concern honestly is speed. Players don't get quicker they get slower. He is already borderline too slow for the NBA. I say this not referring to his shot, but his foot speed both on O & D. He has never had any type of a first step and his side to side movement is like watching Andre the Giant move. I so desperately wish he would become the Pryzbilla type player we could all love, but he doesn't have that fire to want to make contact either. Its not just one thing, its sooo many things that are starting to open noticeable gaps in his game that I don't think will be repaired.
I think his decision making will improve, which might help the speed of that initial step a tad, but after that he lumbers more like Rolo than moves like Plums. If we could put Plums and Meyers into one body, we would have exactly what we need. a big banger in the middle with a pure outside shot. Think Marc Gasol with even better dribbling skills and faster.
Right now with how the NBa is going and how are team is going, I think we need much more from him defensively and more pounding of the glass on offense...just dont see if progressing...

The Meyers bashing has reached the level of hysteria. He was the team's leading scorer, shot 60% from the field, and was the leading rebounder. Reading this thread you'd think it was his fault the team lost. That honor falls squarely on the shoulders of the starters, not the backups.

Leonard even gets bashed because he continued to play hard, shoot well, and rebound after the Blazers got behind. What kind of bizarro logic is that? WTF? Really.

He played well in garbage time tonight. And the bashing is mostly because of his terrible defense, which you didn't even mention. I also don't think anyone in this thread insinuated that it was his fault the team lost.

MyLo did most of his damage during garbage time.

I blame HCP for playing 'Kansas' last week.

    Forever cursed.

Yeah I got that. What I don't get is why he's ridiculed for it. I'm sure everyone would be happier if he had stopped trying, stopped rebounding, and stopped scoring, or shot 4/18 like Dame did.

I've been wasting time on these boards for more years than I want to remember. The lynch mob mentality still makes me SMH.

He hurt the team when it counted. Their eyes lit up when MyLo was patrolling the paint. Jahlil attacked and drew three quick fouls on Leonard. This sparked their run.

Looked fearless when it was out of reach and down 30.

In as much as Meyers played poorly when it mattered, by all means call him out. At the same time, continuing to play hard and play well when everyone (except KingSpeed) thinks the game is out of hand is not a bad thing and does not merit bashing. It's bizarre.

Meyers Leonard sucks. The fact that people are piling on him is because the former is a fact.

Comparing us to the mobs that Willie Lynch used to kill black people?

    Yeah... No...

Leonard had nothing to do with the loss. Conversely, don't credit him for anything good, just because he had the best stats on the team, by padding them in garbage time. The reasons we lost were

    1) The 76ers have a .100 record, but are playing like a .600 team due to Ish Smith and Okafor.

    2) McCollum bought 350 tickets for LeHigh supporters and played the first half like a showboat hot shot. (Lillard and Crabbe were overconfident, too.) As I posted during the first half:
