Cannot afford a loss at home against the Canucks. Simple as that.

Derick Brassard is unlikely to play tonight against the Canucks due to an illness. (Zipay)

Kevin Klein is a game-time decision with a hand injury. (Gross)

Dylan McIlrath will play if Klein does not.

I will be in the building tonight and the Rangers (usually) don't lose on my watch. Don't make me come down there AV!

That 4th line fucking sucks. Jesus. Again, all the more reason trading Yandle for a forward and picks and getting Nash to accept a trade and getting back some forward depth makes sense.

All 4 of those lines suck. Hayes, who cannot win a face off and seems like he doesn't know what's going on out there centering the first line is gonna BOMB badly(so they'll likely be a non issue until AV changes that line after the first and puts Stepan with them). That third line with Stalberg on it will be dragged down by his lack of hands and speed. Would rather see Megna on that line at least. And the 4th line is, as it has been for almost all season, a waste. At least if you out Stalberg on it they can be a checking line, but by moving Stalberg to the third line AV has effectively ruined two lines. Plus Hayes on the first line gives that line no center (because Hayes has been playing like trash). Hopefully the second line can come through and Kreider stays hot. Right now, with those lines as is, I'm predicting another 3-1 loss with A LOT of time spent chasing the puck in our dzone and no offensive output. Ughhh.

You better bring us luck Prod!!!! Hahaha

This team can be fixed. It's won a crap load of playoff games and that is huge to other GM's. It means it's players are looked at as winning players. So, Gorton can make moves. A lot of me loves Girardi. That guy is a fucking warrior. However, you have to be realistic. If Dan is slipping, play MacIlrath. Honestly, I rest Girardi for a month. Let him rehab. Then come back and be strong. Trade Boyle. He'll accept a deal. I think Girardi plays hurt constantly and just sucks it up. He doesn't whine. When he's healthy. He's solid. My guess is he hasn't been healthy almost all year. He'll be OK when he's healthy. Nash. Bottom line. On this team he isn't worth the money. On another team he might be. Trade him.

You know this is not their year when they are outplaying other team but still manage/find the way to be losing.

Here's something interesting. Last time we had a shutout was November 23 against Nashville. That's gotta be one of Hank's longest non-shutout streaks of his career I feel like. Anyone know how to find out if this is?

And I'm not blaming Hank, just was curious because it seemed like it had been awhile since we had a shutout.

Same old story...team doesn't finish. We must be the unluckiest team in NHL history because every goalie has an amazing game against us. Really bad luck...LOL.

You have to think if we continue to get pucks on net and get all these chances eventually we'll break through and score some goals.

What is that? 3 or 4 posts?? God. And then on the other end they win a board battle (shocker) guy wide open in front (shocker) goal.

Curious that this team had a horrible December......can't
blame Lundy. Look how the players in front of him have
been playing! They have stunk up the joint.

Can they just relieve Gorton of his duties after this game?

What would you like Gorton to do? Waive his magic wand and undo all the fuckery that Sather did with all these NTC??? He's stuck in a shitty situation where he has to rely on the players to waive their NTC to get a move. This team is screwed with all these NTC, especially if we can't move Staal and keep Yandle for all the shit we gave up for him.

I dont give a fuck about NTC's. Gorton has no balls. He sits around and just waits for this trash of team to turn it around. And he is already shown he sucks at trades. Not one move this tool has made has worked out. He trades Etem and gets some trash Jensen who is in the minors while Etem contributes to the canucks.

You're an idiot. What the fuck kind of move is he going to make? Half this team has NTC. The other half doesn't but needs to be packaged together with someone else to be worthwhile to get something good back. You're not going to trade Hayes and get shit back for him. You could trade Yandle with Hayes and get something back, but who knows what's going on behind the scenes with that. No matter what, in hindsight, if we can't keep Yandle that will be one of the worst trades for us for all we gave up.
If you want to blame him for anything, blame him for Arneil still being here with this abortion of special teams. But that's probably more so AV than Gorton.

Settle down guys. This team has everyone at each others throats.

Just the way it is going right now. A bunch of chances again, but we simply do not finish. 1 goal is not enough, but that's all we get these days...1 or 2 goals. 5 posts don't help tonight either.

All we can do is hope that as we continue to get chance after chance we'll actual score some goals.

Not many chances or shots for the Canucks, but when you don't score things get tight and you have zero margin for error (been there and done that for years). Hopefully we can get a couple in the 3rd and pull out this VERY much needed win.
