Agree with it 100%. The only thing I might change for accuracy is putting Love in there over Griffin. I think politics wins and Love has done much more for team USA, right?

This looks good for the most part. The only thing I will say that in International Competition, the USA team doesn't seem to care much about true Centers (as they aren't used as much) so I could see Cousins (because he plays a lot of PF) but Drummond may not be a lock and they may go for more swingmen (while playing George at PF a lot and Davis at Center a lot).

True, but I'd want one true center, because you never know when you'll be facing a team with a bruiser of their own. Drummond is the best rebounder and post defender on the list.

Funny I was thinking Drummond over Cousins but you might be right. What if we saw more of a small ball lineup like we see in the NBA? Imagine being one of the coaches of the USA Basketball team, and getting to choose whatever amazing lineup you want to...

    Curry, Westbrook
    Harden, Butler
    Thompson, Durant, Lebron
    Draymond, Kawhi, Griffin (Love?)
    Davis, Cousins/Drummond

Forgot about Draymond, and you omitted Paul George. I'd drop Harden off this list to put George on. Plus defenders across the board, as much as possible.

    Curry/Westbrook
    Butler/Thompson
    Durant/George/Leonard
    LeBron/Green/Griffin
    Davis/Drummond

    Who's scoring on them?

Yea that's a squad right there. I'd drop Harden easily and put Butler in there. That should be a no brainer in fact..

That's an unfair defensive team right there

I have no problems with that at all. That's a really solid list, and I think that list should be able to win it all. A lot of unselfish ballers on that team, and definitely great defenders.

But I still think the coaches will take Love over Griffin.

I'm happy with that roster for team USA and I want all the Western conf guys playing huge minutes.

Wow that is heavy on the west, 8-4 in favor of them. It's crazy because there isn't as big of a separation in skill level between the two conferences like there has been in previous years.

It's a 20/10 in favor of West players for the 30 overall as well.

I hope Dame and Plumlee get to go.
It's the ultimate honor. Being chosen at level is the ultimate validation of a life time of work. It's like the Brazilian soccer team. The players can make millions any where. But putting on the "Verde-Amarela" means everything.

I like the world games and Olympics and think playing for the country is an honor. Dame deserves it but he's coming off missing 7 games just recently..I think it's wiser for him to rest. Plumlee wasn't going to take a spot from Aldridge anyway

I love Plumlee, but he is not a Team USA caliber player.

He's a coach K player starting in the NBA. He's a hall of famer in Coach K's eyes.

Team USA is so corrupt. Nike essentially runs it so you know Dame won't have a chance. Wonder if Harden gets the ax now as well.

I hope you're right on both counts. Fuck Team USA, international basketball is a farce.

    A very lucrative farce.
