Macklemore is taking aim at white artists -- especially Miley Cyrus and Iggy Azalea -- for jacking black culture to get rich, while ignoring the Black Lives Matter movement. The Seattle rapper just released "White Privilege II" ... questioning Miley's, Iggy's and even his own motives for doing hip-hop music. In the song's 2nd verse he says: "You're Miley, you're Elvis, you're Iggy Azalea Fake and so plastic, you've heisted the magic You've taken the drums and the accent you rapped in You're branded hip-hop, it's so fascist and backwards That Grandmaster Flash'd go slap it, you bastard" It seems he's lumping himself in with both women -- and the criticisms they all hear about their music -- but Iggy's taken it very personally. I'm gonna sit this one out so I don't learn anything more about that guy than I have already. I was so happy I didn't know who Justin Bieber was for a couple of years after everyone else did.
This guy is such a fuckin' fake. Anyone remember the "sorry" text message he sent to Kendrick Lamar after the Grammy awards? If he was so sorry, why would he post that on social media?
Yeah... You're joking right? Just asking cause I can't really tell. If you're not, that bitch is from Australia...
OK.... I've been very critical of Mackelmore in the past, especially after that Kendrick Lamar shit... I've listened and played many of his songs DJ'ing in Tualatin (they love him out there). I've never really liked his music... But this song was masterfully done. Kudos.
