Woj says that if Durant leaves OKC then the Warriors are probably the favorites to get him:
    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--warriors-serious-threat-to-sign-kevin-durant-182559375.html

These are steps they would have to take to have CAP room for him:
    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/how-the-warriors-can-afford-to-sign-kevin-durant-043710075.html

Which means maybe we should go hard at Harrison Barnes? Good player but I just don't see him as a MAX guy. I would be hesitant to spend that much on him. You (almost) have to spend the money on someone though....

I think I would rather have Iggy at 11 MIL then Barnes at potentially 18 MIL.

Durant on the Warriors would make that team retarded.

I don't get Barnes. He's nothing special. Nic was and is better than Barnes, and people hated Nic. You want a worse version on a worse contract, then Barnes is your man!

As to Durant on GSW: today's top players are a bunch of pansies. Rather than compete against the best to be the best, they team up so there's no competition as they coast to the Finals. Bunch of chumps.

I don't really want Barnes (as I stated) but you are over-exaggerating to try to make your point. Barnes doesn't play quite as much as Nic on GS due to their depth at the wing positions but there numbers are entirely comparable (outside of passing of course, we know Nic excels at that) when normalized. Harrison better at O in advanced stats and Nic better at D. They are closer then someone might want to admit.

And Barnes doesn't have a worse contract. He has a way better contract. And this summer they will both have the same equally shitty contract going forward (most likely max for both) so once again you are being disingenuous.

I agreed with your original point that Barnes isn't much. You could have left it at that (you already had me man!) but you went off the rails and tried to twist things.

If he jumped onto the Warriors bandwagon... I'm done with the NBA there is just no way I could enjoy watching it.

I haven't actually looked at their stats in a while - I'll take your word that they're "about equal". Besides, it sounds like we agree that he's nothing special - and that's the real point.
My comment regarding the contract was not about their current contracts, but about how Barnes will be on a MAX contract while Nic was on a contract commensurate with his abilities. Basically, if people hated Nic on his Blazers contract they should hate Barnes even more on his theoretical Blazers contract.

0 interest in Barnes. People like Steve Kerr and the media blow smoke up his ass, but he's not the next James Harden in OKC. Dude is a complementary role player. That's it.

Woj also talks about Clips moving Blake to make room to go after KD in the summer in the article.

I'd be all for taking on Blake in the summer.

Players greatness is determined by the number of rings they have. I personally hate that aspect of it as titles are won by a team that is put together properly. I hate how guys like Malone are discounted due to lack of rings.

How would Durant IMPROVE the Warriors? He would mean that Curry and Thompson shoot less and they would have slightly worse D at the SF spot. That's just kind of redundant. The reason to leave OKC is if you don't want to be second fiddle to Westbrook. But guess what you'd be on the Warriors?

Of course Malone tried to chase a ring at the end of his career by hopping on the Lakers bandwagon. Thank God for the Larry Brown Pistons.

Probably was more overblown then people thought. I mean Durant didn't even go to College in the DC area. Players have plenty of money for plane tickets back home if they want to see family.

It would be hard to turn down adding Durant if it was possible. He is pretty damned amazing. But yeah, I honestly see this warriors team as a dynasty as constructed. Who is going to beat them? And how long can they just keep killing it if they just keep their team together? I personally don't think they need to add anything or shuffle anything to just keep on killing the league.
