    Point still remains...If last years team were sitting at 29-27 you all would be screaming for a new coach or giant changes. Olshey would be looking a the quickest way out of town.

    Last year's team didn't need 30 games to figure out who they were or how to play well together. You wanna look at this season as a whole, that's up to you, but you're ignoring the vast difference between who they were and how they played before Christmas, and what this team has shown you since.

    18-7 over a 2 month span, soon to be 20-7. That's a large enough sample size to be significant.

    Yeah but weren't many saying that last year about Stotts towards the end of the season anyways? I get your point though, we were not expected to win this year because of the perceived lack of talent on the team. So we are more content with our record. But i think we should throw out the records and just compare the two teams right now.

    There are a lot of games left. I worry about the Houston game, especially if they lose to Utah tonight. The sense of urgency for them on thursday will be off the charts. And if we lose right before the brutal road trip....it could be a rough stretch. But right now I like the way we are playing more than last year because we seem to be getting more easy baskets. Last year the offense was so predictable, and we always struggled against pressure.

    Last year we were really lucky to have 3 guys in double digit scoring period and Lamarcus took a ridiculous amount of shots leaving 3pt scraps for Wes, Nic and Dame.....this season look at the game stats and we're filling in the boxes like a crossword puzzle

    You also have very long home stands involved here. The last two months have been home cookin like rarely seen. My original statement was that i am still not convinced they are even going to make the playoffs. Also that they are a different team than the team they had last year. I also don't think they are actually better yet. Can they become better. You bet they can! But picking certain parts of a schedule to make a point doesn't work. This team has a tough next couple months. Lets see how it all works out?

    See, I see your point. I really do. But I don't think beating GS by 32 was because of being at home, and I don't believe Maurice Harkless getting 9 of his 17 points in crunch time in a tough gut-it-out win against Utah was because of being at home. That, I believe, was the manifestation of a season-long work ethic.

    To me, it goes beyond just being at home.

    I agree it goes beyond just being at home....they are playing better. However, they had a very easy schedule early and didn't do well in that. Now that they are better, how will they handle a tougher schedule with a TON of road games against quality opponents in March? If they do make the Playoffs, they will have done it the hard way and certainly earned it.

    A long way from the 1/2 a game from the #4 Lottery spot earlier in the season. It's been quite a ride and very enjoyable for fans.
