I'm not complaining about the premiums being too high. ACA made premiums higher than they should and deductibles much higher than before. Only 15% of the people feel helped by it, while 2x that many are HARMED by it. First rule of medicine: do no harm. HARM. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Did he read the bill? Did he follow the negotiations for it all along? No, he let democrats in congress create a bill that was full of pork to get democrats' votes. Incompetent.
You keep pushing that same bullshit talking point. The reason why it falls flat on its face is because lots of those people want a public option or single-payer.

I honestly don't think you know what you're talking about. Every single one of my family members had their premium prices go up, deductibles go up, and services rendered go down, in terms of what was covered.
I'm sure they did. Healthcare inflation was at an all time high before the ACA was passed. I remember before Obamacare when my rate went up from 350 to 750 per month in 2 years. The ACA has nothing to do with premiums going up. They've been going up for years. Healthcare inflation is now at an all time low. Premiums have still gone up but that has nothing to do with the ACA. They have gone up slower because of the ACA.
Single-payer healthcare would solve this problem. A public option would have solved this problem as well. Republican buddies voted that one out.
Did you vote for any Republicans that year? None of them support single payer or a public option. Thanks Denny...
The funny thing is you post a ton of opinionated shit with no facts to back it up. My premiums were untouched for years until ACA. ACA triggered a landslide and its painfully obvious to millions of people. Again, this is just your opinion. There is no fact behind your stance.
My wife and I are on an ObamaCare plan. We're both 63 years old. We're paying $1,350 per month for a plan with a $3,600 individual deductible and a $6,500 family deductible. This is about 20% of our income and is roughly 60% more than we were paying for the private plan we had before the ACA. We do get a "free" annual physical and some preventive care benefits we didn't have before. Of course, my wife saw a drop of blood in her stool and has to have a colonoscopy which is now considered diagnostic rather than preventive so we get to pay $3,500 for it. Her deductible will be almost met for the year, so yippee! I suppose the ACA is great for some people, but it's killing me.
I don't vote for republicans, no. I'd be in favor of the government building hospitals, hiring doctors and nurses, buying medicine and machinery, and providing health care to the masses at cost. Like the VA. No insurance, no insurance companies involved. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, you just don't show up at the govt. medical facilities, pay for your insurance however, etc.
Oh! Wonderful! Bernie is going to fix what Obama fucked up! Now there is a Dem for you! But the fact is I had good insurance before Obama fucked it up and Bernie has no way to get it back. Geez, what a tool!
The VA is not so bad, it just isn't very good. I am scheduled to get a back xray in the next couple weeks. The problem is I have to drive about 180 miles round trip to do so. But then I need to wait until the slide over the highway is cleared before I can do so. But then I guess I could drive the long way instead, only 70 more miles. I am not so sure all Americans want to have the government ration out the healthcare in the VA manner. I suspect the outrage would come real soon when they close your local clinic and opened a better one 25 miles away and tell you it serves more people that live in the new area.
No facts? I just told you that my own premium went up that much. And that's been happening everywhere. Health care inflation is far worse than any other. These topics are being discussed and have been discussed since 08'. Keep up.
You don't need health insurance. Nobody does. And Obama didn't fuck up. I have healthcare now at an affordable rate. So do tens of millions of others that didn't have it before.
The old death panels argument eh? Single Payer Health care is nothing like that. All it does is take the gouging middleman cartel out of the situation.
