Regardless of how people feel about him it's becoming pretty clear Trump is going to win. On March 15 all the contests are winner take all with the exception of North Carolina. Trump currently leads every poll including North Carolina which means a large proportion of the NC delegates as well. If the polls hold he could end that night with over 800 delegates. Then when the Northeast States come into play where you would expect Trump to do very well it's hard to see how he doesn't win. The bottom line is that there will have to be some upsets on the 15th or else Trump seemingly has a clear road to the delegate count needed to win.

I always said that baseball and politics don't
mix, or in this case, do not make sense.

Oh Paulie, you are in unfamiliar territory.

...sadly, the real problem is the people who are falling for his BS and voting for him...pretty much an indictment of our society as a whole.

been doing the math, as long as Kasich wins Ohio, its going to be a contested convention and the GOP reserves a bunch of "unallocated" delegates. Even if Trump leads individually, all the other candidates have to do is pledge their delegates to Cruz on the second ballot. Conventions are like Caucuses, and requires grassroots ground game that Trump does not have. Cruz wins on second ballot and he offers VP to Donald which he win turn down and so we'll have a Cruz-Rubio or Cruz-Kasich ticket.

And they will get trounced by Hillary.
Trump is the ONE candidate who is generating record level turnouts from Republicans and he's already demonstrated in open primaries he can bring in new voters, moderates, Reagan Democrats, Independents, blue collars and labor union workers which is something Republicans have been out of touch with.

We all have our opinions- I believe those who are backing Trump simply don't care about his off color comments and abrasiveness....on the contrary, they welcome his politically incorrectness and are also convinced if elected he will and is quite capable of putting his serious hat on and get down to the business of America and the business of America is "business".

He's anti-left, demands secure safe defined borders and wants to get a handle on "immigration" especially in these times where the unemployment rate is MUCH higher than is reported and the country 20 trillion in debt.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to wake up one day and we have parallel societies in this country like they have in Germany, France and soon England with large enclaves and population centers of Muslims demanding and practicing Sharia Law (which conflicts with our Constitution) in their communities.
Trump was right on target and ahead of the curve when he "proudly" stated he would not allow refugees from Syria and would also halt immigration from Islamic countries until "we figure out what the hell is going on".

Funny thing, when Time magazine named Germany's Angela Merkel Person of the Year, Trump said: "oh yeah, they gave it to the person who is destroying Germany". (with her open arms immigration policy)

Lo and behold, we saw incidents of mass rape and sexual assault committed by bands of "middle eastern" immigrant/refugee men against German women during the Holidays which has led to a recent poll where 90% of Germans are now against any further immigration into their country.
And Trump unabashedly stood/stands against it with no apologies.
He is a clear quick on his feet thinker with succinctness to the point of being uniquely brilliant.

I actually think he has his finger directly on the pulse (and minds) of most NON-leftist Americans with his social commentary and exuding a can-do ability regarding bringing back jobs and friendly towards the economy.

    jmho

So far he's kicked Cruz' butt virtually all over the South with the exception of Texas where he also came away with delegates.
Must be alot of stupid people in the South, and the Northeast, and Michigan and Nevada and Hawaii.

...and fwiw...like I said a week or so ago, every poll I've read shows that Trump is the one who would lose in a head to head matchup vs Hillary.

...but I was told that we should throw out those polls, I assume because it's simply inconvenient to include them when that person sees the race differently.
