In other words people are so hungry in parts of Northern Mexico, they literally DO eat dogs as a delicacy, and would eat Monkies too. Or as the Cajun Folk of Luzianna call each other "Coon Ass", the reason being, the term is derived from early Cajun's who in fact would eat every animal that roamed the earth, including a racoon, and utilize or eat every single bit of edible meat on said animal, even a racoon' ass, (but that much tho' often heard is a joke b/t Cajuns)......even using its blood for "head cheese" aka 'blood cheese', which is nothing more than tripe, guts, and blood....
