    The ABQ police are unfairly targeting and ticketing me!

    Why do you think that is?

    I dunno, maybe my DUI wreck, maybe my hit-and-run, maybe for driving without insurance, maybe for doing burnouts in my Corvette because somebody recognized me... but probably for no reason!

    My understanding of the situation is that people the car over from him at an intersection recognized him. They had a little engine revving session and both peeled out at the green light. The police officer says the other vehicle slowed down but Jones' didn't, though he wasn't issued a speeding ticket. It is illegal in ABQ (and in most places) to accelerate like that at an intersection even if you don't break the speed limit.

    He was cited for leaving his lane (three times), a noise violation (winding the engine up), an obstructed license plate registration sticker, and two tickets for the rapid acceleration/reckless. Based on recent history all charges will be dropped, he'll be issued more community service, and his fight with Cormier will go as planned. The UFC will back him up. JMO

    Worst case Ontario-- the judge that waived his felony conviction for the hit-and-run per the terms of his probation, supposing the probation is deemed violated, angrily brings back the felony charge, Jones gets legit jail time and is a felon for the rest of his life, restricting his international travel and ability to get licensed. Yikes.

    At what fucking point is his license revoked? Granted, I don't think this is that serious of a situation, but when you factor in his driving history and all the other issues he has had, when is it enough? When does Jones start taking this shit seriously? When does the UFC get fed up with his bullshit?

    FRB reporting that Officer Brown has a previous racial profiling allegation against him. Also says his testimony and the testimony of a witness are not in sync.

    The accuser was Hispanic and refused to submit to basic field sobriety tests and was arrested. Probably not much to the racial profiling allegation.

    Not sure about the testimony yet.

    UFC is aware that Jon Jones turned himself into the Albuquerque Police Department this morning for a potential probation violation stemming from a traffic stop last week.

    UFC has been in touch with Jones' legal team and will have no further comment until the organization has had appropriate time to gather necessary information.
