Stalberg had Hayes for a wide open net if he makes the pass. It's like he never saw him.

3 on 1 and a lousy shot on goal and not even making the goalie move side to side when the passes were there. I'll never understand this team. When there is a shot, they pass. When it's finally time to pass, they take a bad shot. And here was actually a late 4th Ranger coming. Unreal. Ughhhh.

It's a some what must win when it's a third string goalie in net. Especially if Hank is hurt. But this team will get shutout by a guy starting his first playoff game.

Zatkoff looks like Brodeur circa 1995

At least they have good shots on him now

He has to slide it across to Hayes there. I'm usually for being selfish at times and getting a shot but that's a play you have to make.

The 3 on 1 actually became a 4 on 1 when Zucc got there late. So many possible passes, instead he takes a bad shot.

Frustrating because even strength the Rangers are controlling the game. Ridiculous they can't score a goal.

Par for the course sadly this year. It's amazing to me that you watch Pitt have guys in the middle, crossing and sticks on the ice and screening and looking for a deflection, and then you see us, 5 guys on the boards, no one in front screening or looking for a deflection.

And that's the game. Don't worry Girardi, that's only your guy skating past you as you stare into the offensive zone for no reason. And yet again, end of a period and we allow a goal. This team is an embarrassment at the end of a period.

    Must be the playoffs...Rangers don't score...LOL.

Is what it is. Don't know how you have a shot in hell to win a series when you can't score on a 3rd string goalie.

And I'll get killed for this, and that's fine, but they should look to deal Hank this summer also. I mean it's the fling playoffs...stay in the f'ing game.

Just fed up...I'll leave it at that. Way to let Crosby get behind your D...isn't like you should keep an eye on that guy.

You knew Crosby wasn't going to miss that one. Girardi throws a weak shot to the net and then allows Crosby to skate right by him.

Girardi and Staal absolutely killing this team with their play or what I should say is their lack of play. Offensively they have been some nice saves but for the most part they're making easy for this guy.

Girardi and Staal have been killing this team all year pretty much.

AV.....the offensive genius. He's hockey's version of Mike D'Antoni. All talk, but when it comes down to it, can't coach worth shit when it matters most. Granted this team isn't what AV wants and likes for players, but he has abandoned what worked the previous two years, which was a more focused effort on defense and let the offense come from that, and instead has focused primarily on trying to outside the opposition and leaving Hank out to dry. Is what it is. This team will progressively get worse under AV until he is either fired or actually adapts his game plan. I don't think he's a bad coach, I just don't think he knows how to adapt his game plan once it's figured out.....and it's figured out.

And spare me the "he's gotten to Stanley Cup finals." So did Torts and he even won one, but we can all agree that his game plan had to go too.
