Utah had its chance. Then they lost at home to a Clippers team that rested CP3/Griffin/Jordan. Then they lost to Dallas and the Lakers. They would've lost by 60 to either OKC or GS.

He also hasnt taken any of the bets about the Blazers sweeping the Clippers. He's so confident in it, and we know he bets... but I guess he doesn't there.

So if Utah is not one of the three or four teams, who are they? Tell me so I know which fucking opinions to have.

    This is mildly amusing writing.

"It set the tone," Beverley said, who earned a technical foul on the play. "We didn't want to come out here and start fights -- of course not. That's not what we're trying to do. We're trying to go out here and play basketball. We're not backing down from anybody and we're trying to win a basketball series."

Exactly what tone does one set in a 26-point blowout loss?

Perhaps, "We're trying to go out here and play basketball, but were not very good at it, so we're going to act like whiny, douchebag, punk-ass bitches".

When was the last time ANY NBA point guard fell for Beverley's "mind games"? Let's see, Beverly had 2 points on 1-7 shooting in 20:29. Curry had 24 points on 8-13 shooting in 19:49. Way to set the tone Pat. Keep up the good work you talentless ass hat.

To me, the question is. When is the last time Beverley shut down an elite NBA point guard?
He's supposed to be a defensive stopper... Yet I can't remember a time when he made an elite point guard have a bad night.
In fact I remember him going at Lillard this season with "extra non-basketball related antics"..
Then Lillard went off after... To the point that he forced the to Rockets switch Ariza onto Lillard.
Tonight he did those "antics" and Curry went off after...
Last time I remember him doing anything vs an elite point guard is when he injured Westbrick in the playoffs.

To me this guy is a scrub. Daniel Gibson was a better player.... says a lot.

I was talking about the phrase choices of author Calvin Watkins, of overstated understatement. I like his sneaky little jokes.

Wes....I really loved the guy for all his Blazer years but he's just playing 3rd string ball this season if that..teams aren't even guarding him anymore. Of all the former Blazers that left..he's the guy I wanted to succeed but so much for that. I don't think he was ever very explosive to begin with so I don't see a huge jump in production next season or further down the road. Sad story. Of all the games I watched him play this season, he had two good ones, both against us. I never thought Wes would actually make Raymond Felton look good but he has.

Though, for the most part, I agree... people also need to remember that an achilles rupturing like Wes' did, typically takes about a year to return to the court & actually play in games. It's barely been over one year now, at this point... so, I'd wait until I see how he looks NEXT season, before essentially writing him off for good!

Come on, that's a little ridiculous. These fouls happened in the first quarter far before the game was out of reach.

The game was out of reach by the 2nd quarter. So, essentially, it did set the tone.

LeBron fouled Reggie Jackson twice in the first quarter.... They called both of the fouls on Jackson... wow. And the Pistons still have it tied after 1.

and their bench is pulling away! lol. I actually have a $20 bet with a friend, that the pistons will win the series (I'm probably gonna lose 20 dollars)

This game, and series, was out of reach before the opening tip off. The score was already 11-4 and Beverly "setting the tone" did nothing to stem the incoming tide. If anything, it just fired up Steph Cuurry, his Golden State teammates and their already raucous crowd. It was a dumb ass move by a bitch ass player.

Curry had been relatively quite up until that point with only 2 points in the first five and a half minutes. In the final six and a half minutes of the quarter Curry went off for 14 points and GSW outscored HOU 22-11 to take a 33-15 lead after 1. Game over. Series over.
