Now that CJ's turned it around, who is having the worst playoffs for us? My nominee is Allen Crabbe. He is 2-12 so far, averaging 2 points per game (in an average of 20 mpg). His shot has looked just awful. What's the deal? And it's not like his defense has looked good - isn't he usually on Jamal Crawford, who has just been killing us (as usual)?

Also not making any impression: Ed Davis. I know he's said good things about wanting to be here, but are we seeing that he doesn't really work in Stotts' system? Or maybe he makes sense next to Meyers but with Plumlee playing well we just can't do with 2 non-shooters in there together.

(My MVP: Harkless. He's had the best +/- consistently and has been a bright spot in all three games.)

Davis has been fine. Doing what he always does but in less minutes and with a bench unit that isn't producing.

    Crabbe and completely absent.

Harkless has been taking advantage of being guarded by a smaller guy. Props to him and coach Stotts for not letting the Clippers get away with it.

Stupid question: who's officially the PF when we start Harkless and Aminu?

I'm not all that sure Crawford is killing us. Hes 2-9 from three and only 3-4 from the line in the series.
He's also at 14.3ppg & 2assists in the series. In the regular season this year he was at 14.2ppg & 2.3assists.
    I don't really think he's killing anyone.

    Henderson is pretty MIA.
    7-12 for 16 in game 1.
    2-6 for 4 in game 2.
    1-7 for 2 in game 3.

Have to expect more from an NBA vet, than you do from a player who got his first real opportunity this year.

Chief hands down! Crabbe hasn't had the minutes to be that big of a negative factor. Aminu is getting the time, open looks and is shitting the bed. If knocks down a quarter of his open threes taken we lead this series 2-1. The clippers would no longer double our guards up too as much and they are able to get loose. Not even a question.

Aminu guards Griffin and is guarded by Griffin on the other end. So him

Aminu hands down. The Blazers need to find a legit starting SF. Aminu would make a better backup.

Got to disagree with you here. Yes, Aminu is shooting poorly, but the team is suffering less with him than with Crabbe:
    Aminu: 96 mins, -11 total
    Crabbe: 62 mins, -31 total.

Also: Aminu's defense is still very good.
Also also: Aminu has never been known as a shooter. We signed him as a defensive specialist and his decent 3-point % has been a surprise bonus. Crabbe, on the other hand, is a shooter above all else.

Crabbe has been MIA for awhile. Hendo hasn't exactly been a difference maker either.

Is it a concern that we already have so many candidates in so few posts?

I would say either Dwayne Wade or maybe Alonzo Mourning.

Crabbe isn't just shooting poorly, he's lost.

I think Crabbe is one player, along with Harkless, who will benefit and learn a lot from this playoff experience.

Henderson is kind of disappointing but Aminu's shooting even more-so. Aminu has lost all confidence in his already shaky outside shot (and I thought he had no conscience).

    Crabbe and Hendo.

On the bright side, Crabbe is maybe playing himself out of a major contract offer this summer. If he'd had a really good playoffs, I think some team would have thrown a decent sized deal at him.

We would have no way to evaluate players if we didn't have the +/-. for without that stat we'd know nothing!

    :MARIS61:

Oh, and Crabbe. It's not even close.

Crabbe has been disappointing. If he isn't shooting well I'd rather see Gerald Henderson get his minutes.

Umm Chief is one of the best rebounders in all of the playoffs. So no.

Didn't Hendo have 16 points in game 1?
