The Hornets are actually a very good example. They have now won 5 straight and are in the 6th seed as well. Their starters are Zeller is in his 3rd year, Kemba Walker is in his 5th. They got a player from the Blazers and have two role guys coming off the bench in Kaminsky and Lamb. That team made moves and used draft picks to improve. Last year 33-49. this year already 35-28. Perfect example.

nba.com just had an article about them being one of the two teams that could actually pull off an upset in the playoffs too.
what was the other team you ask?
    The Portland Trail Blazers

Would there be a way, if we win game 5, to afford to come up here for game 6?

Last year missing Matthews and Afflalo in the Playoffs.
This year Clippers will finish missing Paul and will have an injured Griffin.

Injuries are part of the game.

Goes without saying. However we would still be 2 and 2 with a healthy Paul and non-injured Griffin. We never trailed in the game. But of course the rest of the series could have (likely would have) went a little differently. We are playing better right now than last year even if Matthews played. Our team packed it in last year. Not so this year.

No. Before Matthews' injury, the Blazers had turned the corner to contender status. The game-closing lineup with Matthews/Afflalo/Batum was performing as well as any group league-wide. We're definitely playing better than the post-achilles-tear Blazers, but that pre-injury squad was (IMO) the best Blazer team since 2000.

The team mentally packed in last year in the playoffs (well really in the last 10 so so games of the season too). I am saying if Matthews would have been able to come back to the playoffs it wouldn't have mattered as it was a mental problem as much as it was a physical problem for our team. LMA had one foot out the door and so did Rolo.

And I'm saying that Matthews' injury and absence were the reason that LMA and Rolo were already looking toward next season. Once he went down, and Afflalo was seen to be a completely inferior replacement, the free agents knew there was no point in giving it their all. Had Wes been there and healthy that wouldn't have happened, and we would have seen a completely different effort level throughout the end of the season and into the playoffs.

Condescending to someone who has thin skin. Helping someone gain perspective or saying that they can gain perspective is not condescending at all. Gaining perspective simply means that you are seeing it a different way. Thicken that skin up bruh.

When you're suggesting that someone can gain perspective by reviewing information that is essentially common knowledge, the implication is that the person's lack of perspective is steeped in massive ignorance, hence the condescension. It would be like someone linking you to the text of the 2nd amendment during a gun control debate, as though you don't have any idea what you're talking about.

And regarding thickening up my skin--I wasn't offended; I was trying to offer you some perspective on how your debate tactics are often perceived.
