So how do you all feel about the asterisk that will follow us throughout the playoffs now? Well, Portland only got by Clippers because Paul/Griffin got hurt. Only got by Warriors because Curry was hurt. eTc etc. I mean, we had solved the Clippers before those guys got hurt. And I'm not just talking about the media. There are people on the board next season who will use Paul and Griffin's injuries to put down OUR team and say that what we accomplished means nothing. Hell, people always say we only beat Houston because of a "miracle shot." And that's bs. First of all, it wasn't a miracle. He was wide open. And second of all, you can't discount how well we played to get to a point where one open shot could win the series. Ugh. So if we win the championship this year, we can celebrate, right? Or should the Blazers be ignored?
Who cares? Just win baby. The last thing I will be thinking about is whether or not some dorks on a message board are putting asterisks next to something.
If you're not used to that kind of scrutiny and nitpicking, you're probably not a long time Blazer fan.
How many times have our hopes been dashed by injury? The Clips, the refs, the NBA, and the talking heads can all collectively screw themselves.
We're on the verge of a sporting miracle in England. Leister City, a team in the English Premier league, is about to win the league title. Some odds makers had their chances of winning the league at 5000-1 to start the season. At the moment they are at the top of the table with three matches to go and appear to have an insurmountable lead in the standings. Miracles runs do happen in sports.
There's no asterisk in life. Oden has microfracture surgery. Wes tears his ACL. You win or you lose. That's it. Blazer fans no how unjust sports can be as much as anybody. P.S. There is, however, one glaring example where this is true. If your the NE Patriots, and your head coach and QB, are lying, cheating scumbags..... well then yeah, every SB you win should have an asterisk by it. You got me there!
Just curious? What are these doping rumors I'm hearing about. I don't believe them. I'm glad Leister City is winning the league. But you guys have had like zero injuries. Which is odd.
Dude, that's what Stotts and the players need to be thinking. Us fans? We can start planning the parade!
