...I dunno, Carly Fiorina is a very sharp individual and a great speaker...if Trump is REALLY smart and wants to steal votes from the Dems, he'll pick a minority woman.
I think Rice would be the best choice. It would shake things up dramatically. Fiorina is bright and a good speaker but there's baggage there between the HP stuff and the fact that she's for all purposes a failed candidate.
C'mon, cut the crap. You're trying to prove a point which has already been established. You know darn well, and MOST on this board have acknowledged or believe the GOP will "never" allow Trump to have the nomination or will try with all it's resources to prevent him from doing so. Illegal? I never said they've done anything illegal (so far).....but just for clarification purposes - things can be "FIXED" or set in place for a favorable outcome WITHOUT breaking any laws. I think maybe, possibly, perhaps "fixing" something is nothing more than having a strategy or implementing a plan of action. I'm surprised a savvy guy like you made so much of a common simple slang term used by someone (me) who disagrees and dislikes what may take place at the Convention. And make no mistake - in my opinion - if Trump is within a handful of 1237 at the Convention, and leading the "runner up" by hundreds of delegates and there is indeed a plan, a course of action, mutual agreements, or having things "fixed" where Trump is NOT to receive the necessary delegates required, then IMO, the GOP establishment is simply and plainly thwarting the will of a huge majority of actual GOP voters across the nation. And there ARE plenty of people who agree with this opinion. So be it....we'll see what the reaction will be from the people if this scenario does take place. Now, would you care to engage me on the "numerous" polls which have Kasich beating Hillary? I've told you more than once I enjoy and appreciate shooting the breeze with you on subjects....otherwise I wouldn't waste my time conversing with you. Back to Kasich.....how and why can this guy be favored in polls to beat Hillary yet he has been running firmly in 3rd place and has won only his home state. How do these polls correlate with his primary results? lol
...I dunno, Mess... Cruz's and Fiorina's chemistry seems to be genuine...hell, she even voted for him...plus, I'm not sure what Rice thinks of Cruz.
...lol... so you're now admitting that there is no actual "fix" and there is nothing illegal being done and no rules are being broken. ...if that's the case, what exactly is your point?...once and for all, what is your point?...do you even have one?...do you even know what you're arguing about? ...if it goes to a contested convention you may not like what takes place... but that does not by default make what happens illegal. Complaining about rules that have been in place for a long time is nothing more than sour grapes.
Trump is absolutely toxic, which is why you don't see anyone aligned with him outside the handful of suckupartists with their hands out. Carson and Christie, now Boehner....all flawed politicians with an obvious need for cash. Yup...Carson is a schill. He got painted as a pedophile by Trump and he's out there running cover for the Donald. Trump can't name any high profile advisors, because none want to be associated with him. Nor can he even align a prospective cabinet because he's alienated anybody worth a damn outside of democrats (excluding Hillary and Bernie). Anyone hitching their star to this buffoon is gonna have zero future options and be willing to become a laughing stock/political pariah the remainder of their lives. That goes for any of these idiots out there that are supporting Trump.....takes a fucking idiot to vote for one.
Wow- very powerful. Don't want to spoil the party but can you name Cruz' and Kasich's "advisors" and cabinet members? Sorry, this is one "idiot" who didn't hear Cruz and Kasich naming their advisors and cabinet members....fill me in will ya? Sorry, you'll have to forgive me. Not everyone is as keen as you.
Yeah, I could see Cruz making that motion on rule 16a and the rest of the convention telling him to sit down and shut the fuck up. Boehner called cruz lucifer and said he'd vote for trump. It is all over except for the coronation. The trump train will not be stopped.
59, they do that because they hate cruz. I think once they get to know trump they will see the difference working with him and anyway thats the will of the people anyway. Can't be any worse than their past republican candidates
...who exactly is "they"? ...and Boehner dislikes Cruz for one reason, because Cruz completely out maneuvered him back in Oct of 2013...and everything gradually went downhill for Boehner after that. ...as far as the recent GOP candidates, I have to agree with you there...not much to choose from really.
By all accounts, there is every reason to believe the GOP establishment is indeed trying to "FIX" a contested convention, that is, by all means trying to influence delegates NOT to go with Trump and ultimately slapping the faces of millions of American voters. THAT IS THE POINT! Sounds to me like you may be confusing the sort of "fix" associated with a boxer throwing a fight with an organized group using power and influence to convince others (delegates) to swing in their direction. Sour grapes? Not a chance. The only sour grapes are coming from those who want to and are willing to try any "procedure" to stop Trump because in THEIR mind, they think they know better than the huge majority of voters who have given Trump a huge delegate lead and on the verge of clinching the nomination much to THEIR dismay, and sour grapes. Please read: “Rule 40.” Four years ago, Mitt Romney’s allies at the Republican National Committee added what seemed like a minor tweak to the party’s presidential nominating rules: in order to be eligible for the nomination, a candidate has to win a majority of the delegates from at least eight states. But the funny thing about the RNC’s rules is how easy they are to change based on circumstances. Politico reported yesterday on the precarious future facing this obscure party rule. “I’m not a big fan of the eight-state threshold. I think that’s an artificial number,” said David Wheeler, a rules committee member from South Dakota. “It was designed to prevent Ron Paul delegates – their votes from being counted. I don’t think it’s necessary to do that this year.” This is one of those arguments that partisan activists are supposed to think, but not say out loud. It’s certainly true that Rule 40 was created to undermine Ron Paul, but when Republican officials publicly acknowledge this, it raises questions about the integrity of the entire process. In effect, the argument is, “We manipulated the rules last time to undermine a candidate the party didn’t like, and now that circumstances have changed, it’s time to manipulate them again to undermine a different candidate the party doesn’t like.”
...wow, you are actually correlating that there are people who actually don't want Trump to win along with long standing campaign/election/nomination rules with a "fix"?...that's quite a stretch. It's not a fix, it's a concerted effort by people who don't want Trump as President, period. ...Trump and his team have already exhibited that they are lacking knowledge when it comes to the rules and that ignorance is his alone....and no rules have been broken or will be broken by his opponents...and I hate to be the one to break it to you but this is politics and it's been done like this for a long time, so it's not like there's something new going on. ...ultimately, it's up to the candidates to understand the rules and play the game accordingly. ...Trump should have had this locked up a long time ago...his fault.
One more time for laughs......and the best you can do is chalk it up to something along the lines of business as usual? I'm surprised at you. And once again Trump hit the nail on the head by calling out the political system. If "John Doe" was in a similiar situation as Trump at this point I'll bet some people would be agreeing with him. The GOP actually admits to passing "rules" (legal of course, lol) to prevent a candidate whom "they" dislike from getting delegates regardless of how popular he is amoung voters and thwart the will of a large segment of American voters.....it stinks to high heaven.....but of course it's "legal". “We manipulated the rules last time to undermine a candidate the party didn’t like, and now that circumstances have changed, it’s time to manipulate them again to undermine a different candidate the party doesn’t like.”
Just heard on the news that someone sent an envelope to Trump plaza addressed to Trump that contained a white powder, its currently being tested.
Yeah, second time a similar occurrence. Hope they catch the skumbags responsible. In March, an envelope containing white power and a threatening letter was sent to the Manhattan apartment of Donald Trump's son, Eric, WNYW-TV noted. The powder was deemed nontoxic but the note threatened the younger Trump that a subsequent envelope would contain hazardous materials if his father didn't drop out of the presidential race, WNBC-TV reported.
It was probably someone on his payroll ginning up media coverage and sympathy. Notice the protesters are gone from his rallies now that his mgr won't face assault chargers? Trump has staged everything thus far. Just wait, he's saving the assassination attempt for last as a way to reset his negatives. If he's daring maybe gets hit in arm or shoulder so he can get wrapped in a bloody flag.
1st Order of Business for next POTUS: Iran's next ICBM launch, ties to N. Korea. Russian intercepts, and a laundry list of other Russian in-discretion's. Chinese have to be involved too, ntm- the war on currency, exchange, import-exports, et al. Back to full blitz- ('Axis of Evil'); before the new POTUS can have his/her glass slippers put on their new crowned feet: “The full planned launch of the Simorgh space-launch vehicle in February 2017, which coincides with the 1979 revolution, would likely be the next U.S. administration’s first major test with regard to the Islamic Republic,” said Amir Toumaj, an Iran expert at FDD. “North Korea also likely procured Iranian assistance in the successful testing of a solid-fuel engine rocket in March 2016, a step towards developing ICBMs,” according to FDD. http://freebeacon.com/national-secu...ail&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-95f8e608ed-45993021 http://freebeacon.com/national-secu...ail&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-95f8e608ed-45993021
...lol...you're "surprised at me"?...and yes, it is quite legal. Again, it's called "politics", deal with it instead of whining about it. ...I politely asked you to do some research and educate yourself of the process so you wouldn't look so ignorant of how the process actually works, and so you scour the internet and copied and pasted that garbage?...did you even read the article? It's not even an actual quote from anyone. http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/republicans-take-fresh-look-their-eight-state-rule ...but hey, you found it on the internet so it must be true, right?...the education continues.
