That tells me oakland didnt feel right about jacks knee. Raiders needed another safety so it makes sense. I just dont like drafting a safety in the 1st round.
There were some stories about Jack possibly needing microfracture surgery in the near future. The Raiders probably should have traded down, pick up some extra picks, and select a Safety (near bottom of 1st round or early part of 2nd round).
I like what the Browns are doing. Trading down for a nice cache of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks. That's a team with a lot of holes and it will require several drafts to rebuild.
Yeah but its the browns. No idea why they took coleman when treadwell is on the board. Hue jackson is a good coach though. So we will see. They definitely have the picks, just gotta hit on them
After watching Buckner and Armstead at Oregon, and now they're both Niners, I'm..... not psyched. Buckner is better than Armstead. No doubt about that. I just never really felt like either of them were huge difference makers.
Didn't really have any expectations, honestly. I just know from watching the Ducks for a long time that Buckner is overrated.
For the love of Christ... I hope this offensive lineman isn't a bust for the Seahawks. We have a shit track record at drafting olineman in the upper rounds :/
I was out all day today at my parents house. But I watched the draft there. Just got home an hour ago. I cannot tell you in words how many 9er fans want us to draft this guy. It's insane. You would have thought Joe Montana was being drafted all over again. With that knee, I don't want him anywhere near this team for less than a 4th round pick. But I highly doubt he lasts that long. I'm over the moon. It was the only person that really made sense for us at that pick. I don't watch college football, and haven't seen an Oregon game since they lost the championship to Ohio (and BTW, Dallas's run game is going to be seriously legit with Elliot behind that OLine). But looking at Buckner's college stats, he improved dramatically each year he played. I think he's going to be great; especially for us. But I am curious: why do you believe he's overrated? I have no reason to knock your opinion; like I said: I don't watch college football. I'm just simply curious on a more detailed explanation. Well...at least you didn't get Garnett.
I'm surprised the Niners didn't take Conner Cook with that pick they traded up to get since they supposedly loved him. Either they think they'll be able to trade up to get him again or that was a spokescreen. If they don't take a qb today I'm going to start wondering if they're planning on taking Vernan Adams with one of their 6/7ths. They can't really be content going into camp with lameduck Kaepercrap and Blaine freaking Gabbert, can they?
