And if there's anyone here who knows what it means to be a Yankee...it's Nate. #HandJob #20Dollars #MtTabor
...and if you own a big car, then you have a "Yank Tank" - no, not kidding, that's what they call it.... and I'm totally OK with that. There is no implication about all Americans.
Americans used to take a derogatory term used by another country towards us and make it into a fucking song. We named one of our sports teams after that insult. Now we would just cry and complain and rage about how insensitive that other country is.
"you yanks and your cars" or "you yanks and your politics" I'll finish those sentences: You yanks and your cars they use way to much gas and you're ruining your environment. You yanks and your politics (even though Rupert Murdoch is Australian), you have Donald Trump as your Republican front-runner.. Both pretty negative statements.
Those statements would offend you? So if you did go to England, and someone were to call you a Yank, you would get offended?
Lol I know this and have never had an argument against it. But again, as I refer to in the other post I've been to England and they don't call me that.
Isn't calling you "brotha" a racial stereotype? Why doesn't that bother you? If I call you brotha, or homie, isn't that a stereotype?
YES!! NOW YOU'RE GETTING IT! I use the term Brother (I actually pronounce the er) for every male I meet. Throws people for a loop sometimes. Edit: and yes it is annoying to be called this simply because I'm black.
Chris Paul is a Dirty player and thought it was a pre-requisite of the French national Basketball team to punch people in the Nads because Nic Batumk dude, when in actuality CP3 did it before he did, further implicating that basketball player of all nationalities worship NBA players as their heroes, nad tappers or otherwise.
Eh, I've had plenty of people call me "brother." But "Brutha" just sounds like a white dude who's trying to sound.... urban.
Yeah was last year i believe. Lillard was nursing to sprained fingers, pre game he shook pauls hand and you could see paul squeeze and the almost shocked look on lillards face like wow this guy has zero sportsmanship or class. In the sprit of how this thread is going my lazy yankee cracker fat ass couldnt find a link after a quick google attempt.
The new PC term is "Extended Size" because bigger women don't want to be called "plus size" anymore. It hurts their feelings.
I've seen people get pretty offended by being called Brother before. A minor little squabble between 2 people of the same ethnicity and the one trying to diffuse it said "hey brother, it's no big deal" the other guy flew off the handle because "you are not my brother, we are not related in any way shape or form".... So while most of us use the term in a sense of unity a way to say we are all in this together, others are offended because they only see it as one usage a person born of the same parents. So sometimes even when we use "safe" terms to try to smooth things over it can be construed in negative ways.
Nate, I think you are confused. I know a lot of French women. They all shave. I know a lot of women from Eugene. Many of them do not.
