If I leave the forum, I promise I won't do the Kobe last season tour.....game threads suck for the most part in my view..I used to really enjoy them. Way too polarizing for my idea of a good time during a game...any other thread I could care less...games being a live event are not the best place to act like Hubbie Brown with a keyboard

 

IMO some of it is deserved.

Our franchise player is getting torched and his career playoff numbers are, at best, mediocre.

As long as Dame fails to step up this team will be stuck on this treadmill of mediocrity.

He has yet to have a decent series.

I'm honored to be mentioned here but I do say negative things about the players performances sometimes. Not as much since Leonard has been out, but I still do.

 

I understand your frustration. I used to feel the same way. I even came up with a name for the Negative Nancys and Debbie Downers that were always killing my buzz about my favorite team. I called them anti-fans because they were so invested in their own negative opinions that they actually celebrated when the team, or certain players, failed and made excuses when we over achieved (easy schedule, other teams' injuries, got lucky, etc.). To them, being "right" in some anonymous internet forum was more important than watching their "favorite" team win.

As noted, it's worst in the game threads. So, I started avoiding the game threads during the games. In the game threads, people overreact in the heat of the moment. I occasionally go back and read the game threads after the game is over, usually after a comeback win, just to laugh at some of the stupid shit people posted.

There are still some things that get posted here that annoy me, but my solution has made the forum a much more enjoyable place to hang out. So, do what I did. Stop giving so many fucks about what your fellow format assholes think. Sometimes they'll be right. Sometimes you'll be right, but at the end of the day, if your goal is to enjoy rooting for your team in a positive way, do so with abandon, but don't expect everyone else to follow suit. That's just not the way the world works. If you expect EVERYONE to share your optimism, you will be disappointed and frustrated. Enjoy your fandom and the successes of your favorite team, stay out of the game threads and don't take what other morons post here so fucking serious.
