If I remember correctly, Westbrook scored 31 points on 30 shots (I'm doing this from memory) and Durant was 10/18 on field goals. Just dumb. A couple of those were shots Russell had to take because of the shot clock or after an offensive rebound. That's the thing though. Russell is a fantastic player and a total beast. Could you imagine trying to cover him? But, he still hasn't learned to be selective on when to be aggressive. They have a shit offense and just give it to Durant or Westbrook. Durant is about as consistent as they come. So basically, their entire team lives or dies on whether or not Russ has an efficient game or not. That is it. Dumbest strategy I can think of.
Westbrick was 10-31. OKC's record is absolute shit when Westbrook attempts > 30 FGA. He's an inefficient, turnover prone chucker who freezes out his more efficient scoring teammates when the game is on the lone. This is nothing new, it's been going on for years. But, the fanboys will see that he had 31 points and a near triple double and think he's unstoppable. Truth is, he is stoppable, just let him try to be the hero and he'll choke it away and stop his team from winning, yet again. "OKLAHOMA CITY ā If the Thunder were a famous auto race, they'd be the Indy 499... The last 3:25 of the game was the season in a nutshell for OKC. A peanut shell, easy to crack. A season where they had already blown 15 fourth quarters and looked as fragile as fine china... If you're looking for one more reason why Durant could choose to flee when he becomes a free agent this summer, it might be that he makes that realization and looks to find a landing spot where they value doing all the little and late and important things right... But that's another matter for another time. Here was Westbrook trying to throw a left-handed pass to Serge Ibaka then abruptly changing his mind. He was not hemmed in by defenders. Westbrook just second-guessed himself and fumbled the ball and Aldridge scooped it up and ahead to Leonard for two free throws. Ninety seconds later, Westbrook tried to dribble the ball between his legs and lost control, and this time Leonard made the steal and went all the way for a layup." BNM
Exactly. I knew I could throw the general concept up and you would finish it brilliantly. I throw alley oops to you, because that is my one skill. And you finish like a verbally prime Shawn Kemp.
On a side note to this, I'm willing to bet that most teams have a shit record when one of their players takes 30 or more shots.
Heat fans are some of the worst....that place is always empty..their broadcast crew in my least favorite...especially the radio guy...don't remember his name
Living in Florida (not near Miami), I can relate to this. However, there are some cool Heat fans I know personally so I won't generalize, but I get your point.
Not to mention their PA announcer... They're spoiled fans. Lebron and Wade.. every player wants to play there and their arena is right on the water..
I really think this might be the year that Cleveland does it. They're healthy, they have a ton of firepower, and LeBron almost beat the Warriors by himself last year.
If the Warriors get there, yes. Oh you meant whomever they play. Yes, they look good. I'll root for them in Finals against every team but ours.
