He's a little too feast or famine for me. It needs to be feast all the time. He's gotta have more hunger. Durant Durant needs to be hungry like the wolf.
Interesting theory - but if that is the case, why didn't he just let Dame be the leader and concentrate on playing the game? There had to be more to the story.
There's going to be some crying Jordan face on LMA's body pics on this board if they blow this series.
Not sure I would start Millsap over Plums at center, but he would fit well next to him. Horford is obviously better than Plums at center, but do you give him 25 mil per?
Once upon a time, it was popular to get stoned and watch Disney's "Fantasia". That is kinda what it is like to watch the Thunder in big games. The line between reality and hallucination is really hard to identify. Does any other team in the league combine such unpredictable highs and lows?
What?....... What? He WANTED to be the face of the franchise. Did you not read all the stories about him getting butthurt about Dame getting more attention?
He told you that? I guess I viewed it as him trying to embrace the situation that others wanted to put him in, despite the fact that deep down he wasn't comfortable doing so.
I don't think he really wanted the spotlight either, but he also didn't like that Dame was more popular than him. He didn't like that Dame had a massive shoe contract. He didn't like that Dame was doing national ad campaigns. There were a number of articles that came out about this very subject.
By the shit stirring Oregon media? I don't believe for a second he was jealous of Dames success. I think he felt awkward trying to be the vocal leader over Dame - a born leader who's actions always spoke louder than anything LaMarcus could say. I Dont think he liked that he was being painted as the leader, while on the other hand Dame was being viewed as "the man".
It isn't just the media. It's actual quotes from the team, that insinuated that there was an issue. They have been posted on here. Then there's the whole "flying home by himself from Memphis" thing.
Then support your argument and post a quote that you think proves me wrong. Just make sure you judge how much of a PR move it was first. That whole flying home and checking out in the playoffs is a sign that he had really grown tired of being in that position. Like it was too much to even face his team as the leader after that loss so he would rather fly home on a separate plane. More evidence that he should have never been put in that position as his personality renders him incapable of fulfilling it.
You have already set the bar by saying that the media has an agenda, or that it was a PR move by the team. You're not going to accept anything I give you as fact. I'm not going to spend time finding stuff that was posted on this forum because A) you should have seen it when it was first posted and B) you're just going to dismiss it as propaganda.
I did see them. I was thinking you had a quote that didn't fall in line with what I've been saying. I won't say I would dismiss it as propaganda, because I don't formulate opinions until seeing the evidence. That being said, of those quotes posted here during his FA a lot of them seemed to be PR moves, shit stirring, or pandering to upset Blazers fans.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...cus-aldridge-left-the-trail-blazers/29718151/ This was just one article. Finding the quotes would be harder because they're tucked into articles.
