I don't know. I think they felt they could put a team around him and make him the man. They did that, but then Dame showed up and he became the man. Aldridge has the competitiveness of Sam Bradford. We are better long term without him. It will be really interesting to see what would happen if we brought in another alpha male now with Dame. Someone like Lebron James. I don't think it would work, but who knows?

True about no confirmation, but my made up guy was pretty adamant about it

LeBron did fine with Wade. I don't think Dame has the kind of personality where he couldn't co-exist with someone as great as LeBron.

You got me too. Wow, two people in one day seeing right through me. Easier with the weight loss, I suppose?

My only concern would be Dame's youth. Not sure it's anything we need to be concerned about though

I think LeBron likes to defer anyway. I actually think Dame/LeBron would get along quite well.

Good point about him deferring. I wonder if Dame would be cool sharing the spotlight now that he is the absolute man

He has been completely fine with CJ sharing the spotlight, but obviously LeBron is on a whole other level. Still, I think Dame would be completely fine. Everything I've read and heard, he's not that guy. He's certainly not Aldridge.

Oh man they would hit it off.. Lebron loves deferring. I actually think they would literally be a match made in heaven

Not that this has any chance of happening but I thought about it for 30 seconds and got heart palpitations imagining the Blazers with Lebron vs. GS for the next 10 years.

Maybe close. Historically the NBAs greats seem to last until around 40, Lebron is 31.

Athletically he is on a different level from Jordan and Kobe. Even more so than Malone who played until he was 40-41.

He'd be effective coming off the bench for a few years after Noah Vonleh reaches his prime. We can limit minutes to prolong his career a la Tim Duncan. :bored:

Plus, as Sir Charles would no doubt agree..."There's some big 'ol women down there."

They get bigger the further south you go in Texas. I think they're colloquially known as "steers."

Also, I think LeBron is gonna be the type of guy that changes his game as he ages. He really has upgraded his post and midrange shot over the years.

Outside of a more consistent 3 point shot. I'm not sure he will have to change his game much at the later stages of his career.
He might not be the elite defender he is now... But LBJ is a elite passer. They typically have long careers if they want to.
I think it'll depend on $$ if he plays 20+years in the NBA.
