I really liked this, not your average film. I thought someone used my google history to pick the females for the movie.
Deadpool. I have not particularly liked, no I've actually hated Ryan Reynolds until this movie. It was goofy fun. Loved it.
I was like 13 when I first saw it but I thought he was great in Just Friends. Very funny romantic comedy in my opinion. He's also great in The Voices from 2014. I've always actually liked him fine, but since Deadpool I pretty much love him. He lobbied for years to get that movie made and it really paid off.
It doesn't help that I'd watched the first 45 minutes a few weeks ago but we finally watched the rest of Hateful 8 and while I liked it overall mostly for some humor I wasn't amazed by any stretch.
Was going to borrow Deadpool today but totally forgot. Was one of the movies of the year according to my brother in law. Also still need to see Ant-Man.
That movie doesn't even begin to touch on urban tales of the food service industry. I worked at several bistros and high end hotels. One of the dumbest things a human being can do is to openly complain or badger the staff of a restaurant. They work terrible hours. They get paid nothing. They usually are not happy with their situations. You're basically just asking for them to do something to your food. That episode of South Park is pretty close to the reality of it.
Money Monster rocked, although I have concluded that George Clooney basically plays the same character in every movie. It's a charming character, but the same one. That said, a totally fun movie.
Years ago my friends and I were at Long Beach Wa for a few days. My friend just HAD to have breakfast at this little restaurant. He said they had the best biscuits and gravy anywhere. We pulled up to the place and I noticed some dude in a booth staring at us for some reason. I flipped him off. We got inside and I saw the guy get up and walk back in the kitchen. I told my friend we had to leave but he wouldn't. I didn't even have a glass of water. My friend had biscuits and gravy and jizz that day, I'm sure of it.
Triple 9 was entertaining -- some great characters -- but I can't tell if it was really good or completely missed the mark due to the ending!
Did you see 'Hail, Cesar!'? I thought Clooney was great in it. I haven't seen Money Monster yet but I'd say he shows a little bit of range in all of his roles in Coen Brothers movies.
He was also the director of a very good movie with David Strathairn as his lead actor in "Good Night, and Good Luck." Watch it if you haven't seen it already.
Watched Black Mass last night. First good new mafia related movie I have seen in a while. Depp was excellent.
