Talk about damning with faint praise. All the talk about tough times ahead and calm waters makes it sound like KP is setting the bar pretty low. It's like he's saying, we know we will suck and Nate is just the man for the job. We'll fire him and hire a real coach when we're ready to be good again. We just need him to get us through this period of anticipated suckage.

Nate spends more time preparing for games than most coaches; he works hard at his job. He is a good decent person. And he may have improved his leadership skills.

He may also have a good enough regular season to make the playoffs. But he will be riding his player’s talents to get there. Reason, Nate can not think on his feet during a game. He rides his pre-game plan to victory or death.

    The bottom line.
When the playoffs start, and the other coach is creating miss-matches that do not happen as often in the regular season. Nate will behave like a deer caught in the headlights, again. And that can not be fixed.

Am I missing something? He said that three years ago.

Oops my bad, but it seems even more relevant now. Three years ago the Pacers were a team in the rise. If KP thought tough times were ahead then, he's in for a rude surprise over the next three years.

    Good luck to Nate.

Except when they play the Blazers, of course.

Nate McMillan says Myles Turner is "exactly" like LaMarcus Aldridge.

Hahaha I know it's not what he meant but it's funny to read "the one thing I loved about Aldridge".

So Nate's gonna ride PG's knee to the first round of the Playoffs a few times until PG medically retires?

His first move will be to make Nolan Smith his starting point guard

Nah, it will be Taurean Green. He still owes Nate 3 wins!
