Been 5 times. Must go all inclusive, depending on your budget, i can recommend hotels for ya (been to 5 different AI's). You should go to coco bongo at least once. Fun atmosphere. Make sure you get major trashed at least one night, its free alcohol so who cares. Arrange your transfer ahead of time, makes the airport situation smooth.
Thanks for the tip. Definitely cheaper that way. Found a 6 night stay including airfare from united at beloved playa mujeres for $3,100 total for all inclusive. Sounds reasonable to me.
Because after some years of indulging as you suggest, some people are indeed affected more than others and they will be the ones that come to care. It is a long arduous trek to learn, you do not need to do this.
In all, the State Department says that in 2013 and 2014, a total of 181 Americans were murdered in Mexico. https://www.yahoo.com/style/more-tourists-missing-in-mexico-1312883306373174.html
For Isla Mujeres fuck all inclusive, it has bomb authentic restaurants, nothing like trying a different one everyday and night, personally my favorite part of going to Mexico. Also must do, rent a golf cart and cruise around the island south side is way different and cool.
That actually makes me feel better maris, because it says there were over 25 million american tourists over that period of time. Id have more chance of being murdered in little mexico, rockwood, at night.
This makes me wanna go to Mexico... But I already know if I go I'm gonna knock up like half the resort workers.
I've been there too. Cancun is big city/party central with lots of giant beautiful hotels and is actually a little like Vegas but no casinos. I prefer to stay outside of Cancun. Take a look at the Sun Palace and Moon Palace resorts that are all inclusive. The thing about all inclusive is that the food tends to be somewhat bland because they're trying to appeal to as many people as possible but these Palace resorts also have restaurants that offer other things. I've never stayed in Playa del Carmen but I drove through it on the way to take the ferry to Isle Mujeres and it looked charming and beautiful. I think I would try to stay there if I went back to the area. Take advantage of the beach swimming and hire a golf cart to drive around Isle Mujeres... it's beautiful. Have a great time!!! I have been to Mexico a bunch but usually visit Cabo. I go back over and over because the people are just lovely.
If you take a boat to Isla Mujeres (island of the women), you can also go to Cuba. It's not _that_ far.
They sell Cuban cigars there, too. And now I think you might be able to bring them back to the USA with you.
Boat service from Cancun to Cuba didn't start until 2015. When I went you could only go by plane and fly out of the Cancun airport. Sure, I guess you could take a boat but you're the one afraid to take a taxi cab in Mexico. On a boat they would rob you're no tippin' ass and then use you as shark bait.
When I went to Isla Mujeres in 2000, the guys running the boat offered to take us to Cuba. But these days, I would be very careful about what boat I'd ride on. Yep.
