Sure. And on the flip side, do people with mood disorders think they have a problem, imbalance, disorder, or disease? Most would say no, but professionals would say otherwise. People with MPD, DID, Bi-Polar, all have a disorder that is well documented. We try not to let people with these mood disorders enable it further or go unchecked, so why would we do that with the Transgender people? Again just my opinions on the matter.
I heard a sports announcer call Curry a "machine" today. It was clearly a compliment, but still dehumanizing.
Millennials seem to have a need to feel oppressed, i think they figure if enough people feel bad for them then some entity will give them money and they wont have to work. They gave birth to the "emo." They focus on racial traits and now gender traits. We've been socially programed to argue over issues that shouldnt really matter so that government and corporations can do all the corrupt things they like to do without falling under the telescope. Then weve been programmed to label anyone who sees the big picture as a conspiracy theorist. I find the social programming fascinating, and sometimes depressing. Thats why god gave us alcohol.
Obviously "monkey" is taboo because there's a long history of abuse of "science" to assert people with dark skin are inferior and ape-like.
Well to be fair the father of evolution charles darwin in his book "evolution and the preservation of favored races through natural selection" clearly shows that blacks and jews are less evolved and closer to out great grandparents the ape. Im thankful i dont believe in evolution or support the works of that racist nut job.
That's funny, I actually read Origin of Species and Descent of Man - I don't recall seeing those comments about blacks and Jews. Nor do I recall seeing Darwin commit the scientific atrocity of saying apes are our "great grandparents". Can you quote me which chapter of which book says that? Seems like something that would be copied/pasted from some creationist web site, not Darwin. Ever read Darwin? Had you read Darwin you might have learned the word "race" in evolutionary biology does not mean "race" in the modern social sense at all. Go find out. Don't copy/paste, learn something from the source. Evolution is inherently anti-racist as it shows all humans are clearly unmistakably one species and that so-called racial differences are tiny, biologically. Unfortunately for various historical reasons certain differences have become big, socially.
Maybe, just maybe, he apologized because he realized he had unintentionally given offense? Have you ever thought that is possible? Has it occurred to you that some people, when they make a mistake, say "I'm sorry" and mean it? That they don't say "the problem is you"? You are sure suffering, aren't you? It really makes you suffer that some "other" people want the same civil rights you take for granted? Like being left alone to go take a leak in a public restroom without men like you checking us out to see if we fit YOUR definition of "real" women or "real" men? Because you assume the right to define other people while being furious if someone questions you. Of course, you talking about nonexistent PC police, using words like butt-hurt, forced conformity, that is not emotional because you're male. Only women get emotional. Men just are righteously angry.
You don't think it's unfair to automatically attribute discussion about emotional responses to sexism?
WTF are you talking about? No one is lecturing you about anything. I took your quote simply because it illustrated what I was trying to relay to the whole forum that what SA said was not racist.
I'll answer your questions in order: 1. Maybe he did apologize for that reason, but more than likely he didn't. 2. Did I think about it? Yes. 3. Do I know people say "im sorry" when they make mistakes? Yes. 4. Am I Suffering? No, but stay emotional please. 5. Does it make me suffer that 'other' people want the same civil rights as me? No, because they already have them. They are trying to get special unique snowflake ones. 6. I assume the right to define people? No. I don't. Men are men, Women are Women, check their genes. And your last bit, is just ramble. So carry on.
Bullshit. I completely dispelled this notion earlier. Saying black people look monkeys is racist however the context in which SA used it was not.
deleted the last one...sorry dviss if I misunderstood your post...I've now had a second cup of coffee
