Well SAS did predict there was a good chance LeBron would leave the Heat for the Cavs FWIW. However, I think LeBron loves what he's working with (for now) in CLE. Even if he were to leave, he isn't coming to the West. Why would he leave the East? The East is his property.

Aminu, Plumlee, Vonleh, and a 1st Round pick for No. 6 and 27? Feels like a steep price to pay.

I mean if you don't have to give up that much then you don't. Maybe keep the 1st round pick.

Dunn would be the perfect compliment to CJ and Dame tho. Is 6'4.5, a great defender than can guard two positions, and a good ballhandler than can pass the ball.

My #1 draft target: Domantas Sabonis

    My #1 trade target:

With Boston targeting Murray/Hield it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I don't mind moving the pick and Plumee (because he's due for a raise next year and the FA crop is heavy with Centers).

AFA is only getting better and is on a fantastic deal and I still believe Vonleh will live up to his draft position. If you think you can re-sign Harkless and add a guy like Bazemore, then AFA could become expendable but that's a lot of assumptions and could backfire with FA being a week after the draft.

Dunn is a nice prospect, but if we retain AC, where are there minutes for anyone else in the backcourt (Dame, CJ, Crabbe)?

I'd view Crabbe as a backup SG/SF. We'd have to give up Aminu at least. But it'd clear cap space to sign a guy like Marvin Williams to replace him.

Say we sign Horford and Williams..

    Lillard (28) / Dunn (20)
    CJ (36) / Lillard (8) / Crabbe (4)
    Harkless (24) / Crabbe (24)
    Williams (26) / Davis (22)
    Horford (33) / Leonard (15)

Williams is essentially a bigger, better offensive version of Aminu. Crabbe is big enough to play the 3.

With that team we upgrade defensively with Horford and Dunn. But offensively wed now have 3 bigs that can finish around the rim while every player except for Davis (Harkless is iffy) being able to shoot the 3.

Williams would also be the perfect defender to put on Draymond.

Cj and whiteside recently followed each other on twitter. Nice of CJ to start recruiting so early. Lock it up.

I love the draft as much as the next guy, maybe more. But I also grow to dislike it so much when reading through some threads. You wanna trade 2 starters, a prospect and a future 1st to Draft a guy who is a bench player for us? If free agency happened before the draft, some of the ideas might be ok. But the constant excitement of the draft, where we starting throwing away starters for multiple picks is unreasonable.
Hey dame, cj, terry, fan base. Understand you got excited this past year. We're going to go ahead and take a step back next year to maybe hopefully someday take a step forward

I know this is from his Sacramento days but he seems like a good kid. I'm all in for Whiteside:

Wow - I'm really glad you're not GMing the team! I'm not even a fan of Vonleh or Aminu, but we give up WAY too much in this trade. You're basically trading Vonleh, Aminu, and Plumlee for the #6 pick. That was, for most of the season, 3/5ths of our starting line-up!

You realize how replaceable those guys are? Sign a starting C, sign a starting F. Boom. The savings in cap allow you to keep all the RFA. Now if you can get the pick for less, then you do it..

    (a) How replaceable they are has nothing to do with it - it's an egregious misuse of assets.
    (b) I guess we'll find out how easy it is to sign a starting C and PF this summer, since that seems to be pretty much exactly what we need.

You realize if we sign a starting big, we'll have to give up on Leonard or Plumlee because then we'd have too many bigs? People say don't retain Meyers, but that's a misuse of assets by giving one up for free! We could take Maker at 27, who is as good of a prussiate prospect as Vonleh. Id rather have Dunn than Aminu, as Dunn is a perfect fit as the 3rd guard with CJ and Dame.

    We need another ball handler
    We need another defender
We could use a big PG

There's not many players that fit all those, and is a solid offensive player with an outside shot.

Theres TONS of 3 and D SFs. Crabbe or Harkless could be our starting SF, or we could sign one.
