I saw Keanu with Key and Peele. In spite of the ridiculousness story line, Key and Peele are a solid comedy team so I decided to check it out. I don't watch many comedies, but this one is worth checking out if the story line isn't too ridiculous for you.

Saw the Jungle Book tonight. Loved it! Jungle book is one of my favorite Disney movies. I did however have a few issues with it, like how it was less of a musical and more of an action adventure. But at the same time I realize you want to create something a bit different, so that wasn't enough to make me not like the movie.

Some of the low key jokes were great like what Mowgli is playing with before he meets King Louie. I'm sure I will buy this when it comes out on Blu-Ray.

It took me a second to get the joke when he met King Louie, but once I did I thought it was brilliant!

The Nice Guys was great. I'm a big fan of Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is legit one of my favorite movies ever) and Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe are two of my favorite actors as well so I knew I was going to love it.

    30 Cloverfield Lane.

    Solid low budget film, 7/10.

I just finished watching The Hateful Eight. What a disappointment (though Jennifer Jason Leigh was absolutely wonderful). Having seen several Tarantino movies now, I continue to struggle with whether (A) I'm too shallow for Tarantino movies, or (B) I'm not shallow enough for Tarantino movies. I've just never been able to get" them....assuming they can be "got"......it had a great cast though, so it had that going for it.....

Maybe you just don't like them. It doesn't have to be about how "shallow" you are.

I liked it for the look and feel plus the acting was great. A movie like Pulp Fiction had that and a great story.

There wasn't anything mind blowing about this story unless Sam J describing in detail a certain murder floats your boat.

If I watched it on my 65 inch tv I'm certain I'd have liked it less.

I suspect this movie wouldn't have been made by a no name director, or it would have been extremely low budget at the least.

Tarrantino is hit and miss with me...he takes horrible scripts and fills them with often forgotten great actors which sometimes works..sometimes doesn't for me.
Loved Pulp Fiction, Dusk till Dawn and the first Kill Bill movie. Didn't care for Django or the Hateful Eight so much.

I watched Master and Commander again, on boat with Sat TV. Geez! that movie is already 13 years old, but I love it. And that rarely happens.

Unlike the whole world, I'm not a big DiCaprio fan and like Inglorious Bastards I thought it was just off the mark..like a good band with a bad drummer
