Yankees send Luis Severino to Triple-A, place Dustin Ackley (Dislocated Shoulder) on the 15-day DL and recall Rob Refsnyder as per Bryan Hoch

Don't like to see anyone hurt but if further absence on Ackley part keeps Ref up well cool deal. A-hole needs lot of nights off. I'm starting to refer to him as Whiff as much as he strikes. Word get around his at bat foibles he's going to be toast. Joe G take note doing the same thing over and expecting different results is insanity. Happy B-Day Rick you young whipper snapper.

Another guy facing surgery after diving into a base. Didn't that happen to Mason Williams? Well Nick Swisher will be next up when Tex gets his next hang nail.

From what I last heard Swisher was not doing well in the minors, but then again at this point in time quite a few Yankees are not doing well in the majors.

Yep, Ackley injury now opens up a door for Refsnyder. Hopefully Ref is here for the long run.
They had him playing 3d/RF AAA, the idiots should've also given him a good look at 1b as they knew Bird was going to be gone for the year.
Anyway, he's here now. Sooner or later we knew one or a couple more of the farmhands would get the call when the long term injuries* popped up.
Refsnyder has done nothing but hit for the Yanks - AAA and ML.

Meanwhile Ackley was in the process of cementing his reputation as a total 1st round (2nd pick) bust with his first two ML teams.

Nova can really take a step in becoming a positive factor for the SP, Yanks have gotten good performances from three of their SP over the past few weeks.....would be nice if Nova can take hold of a spot in the rotation......not holding my breath tonight in Toronto.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if they lit him up....which leaves the possibility of him becoming a very pleasant surprise. ⬅ Needed to put on my rose colored pinstriped homerific glasses to say such an outrageous thing.

He needs to -IMO- pitch backwards by throwing his curveball early in the count but he's another of those knucklehead pitchers without the killer instincts of a "pitcher" and has no natural feel of how to set up individual hitters and needs to be led around in the dark by the catcher.

Theres our shortstop "Stranfer" Gregorius with men on base. Don't no what anyone else thinks but if a Yankee Pitcher is not named Tanaka or Eovaldi I don't have much confidence especially being backed by this teams office. ESPN sports gave Nova a nice write up on the day of his last assignment and the man went out and shit the bed.

Speaking of horseshoes, Didi DP grounder looked like it was headed to CF but caught a piece of the pitcher.
I much rather "complain" about Yankees getting lucky with horseshoes....I'm kinda wacky in that way.
