Not liking Hammons unless he falls deep into the 40s or 50s. He'll turn 24 before the season starts. Rarely played anyone of his size/strength. Remember Jason Jennings at Arkansas State?

I agree he has shown us enough "flashes" to warrant keeping him at a reasonable salary. He does have offense skills and he is athletic enough to be a better defensive player than he has been. Maybe he will never have excellent defensive instincts when it comes to shot blocking, but I think he can develop better ones.

The key is not to over pay for him. Pay him to be a role player. If he is smart he will take it, because his life will be a living hell..... no matter what team he plays for.....if he gets paid the big bucks and does not live up to their expectations.

...and then he can go and have a good cry in his palace made of gold bricks.

Remember Dame and CJ was both about that age and Neil draft them. Is as good as them no but maturity level is what Neil will look for this year. Having great upside doesn't mean you ever going reach that level.

Regardless of age Hammons' ceiling is low.

    Late career Nazr Muhammad.

Either way he will be living in a palace. 10 years @ 8 million nets you about 40-50 million after taxes and interest.

The fun 'Ha Seung-Jin sideshow' class:

Ndiaye kept his name in the draft. He has no chance in this era.

Tacko Fall didn't crack the top 150 HS recruits and was toying around with him.

    Tacko Fall is a freak:

    7'5" w/o shoes
    8'0" wingspan

They both move about as well as Hibbert, the Lakers version, but are too slow footed.

If this were the 90s they'd be prospects.

I have a sneaking suspicion that whomever is running NBAdraft.net has no idea what they're doing. It's almost like HCP is in control of their mocks. *shots fired*

Diallo all the way to the lotto?

Ulis to the mid-second, just one pick ahead of Felder?

    Zizic drops below Maker?

    Golly.

DX moves Chriss all the way up to #3! Do they have intel? There is no reason to move him from #14 all the way up to #3 without some kind of inside info.

Offensively he's an intriguing prospect but his rebounding is atrocious.

    Atrocious.

Per40 he averages 4.5 rpg. For a big that's one of the worst in DX's database ...ever.

He's has the potential to be a Paul Millsap type player. Surprises me, but at the same time it doesn't.

    Markieff Morris type on offense.

Milsap came into the league after leading the nation in rebounding for three straight seasons - the only college player to ever do that.

Except for Rebounding. Just from and offensive/defensive aspect.

Milsap is an ox and sneaky athletic.

Chriss is more explosive than Morris but their skillset offensively are comparable.

    Imo.

Bembry is the latest riser - Detroit is seriously considering him at #18.

Quite the leap pre-combine where he was projected to go mid-second at best.

I would figure Neil would bring players in for work out. He might be already have his targets if they fall where he think they go he will try to pull the trigger by getting in the draft. If not he will hold until FA.
