"I say, chap, did you read in the paper this morning that Damian Lillard, that talented young fellow that plays for the Portland Trail Blazers will be here in <city> playing our beloved <team> tomorrow?"

"That is fantastic news, Farnsworth! Are they only here for the one evening or will they be off to their next destination forthwith?"

"Gladly, they will be in our fair city for two additional nights, and will not travel to <next city> until Thursday!"

"That truly is a joyous revelation, Farn ol' boy. Perhaps this Lillard will play a local venue so that we might witness his 'rap show'"?

"One can only hope, my friend. We must pay attention to the social media accounts to see if a performance is scheduled."

    "Jolly good!"

I like it. I'm fine with them kind of being a QR cover band these days, so to me their last album was pretty good. They just decided to say "screw it, let's just play loud and sing high again." I'm down with it.

I hope that if Dame becomes a big enough star, the NBA will give star treatment. We've NEVER benefited from that, we've always been on the losing end of the stick, and we will certainly need to beat a team that has a star protected player to advance in the playoffs, so we may as well have one to make it even. Also, it could bump up his prestige around the league, making Portland a more attractive FA landing spot.

Incorrect. Drexler got some serious superstar calls against Utah in the 92 playoffs.

Dame is getting to live his dreams of being a superstar athlete and major label athlete at the same time! I wonder if Steve Harris from Iron Maiden wishes he could go back and finish his trials with West Ham United..... Fuck that! I'd rather listen to the Trooper and Aces High!

Holy shit I stumbled upon a Queensryche discussion on S2. LaTorre is great. A huge upgrade to what Tate had become. Tate is a legend, always will be, but he simply cannot sing anymore and he's a total dickhead. Their newest album "Condition Human" is by far their best since "Promised Land" and it's not close (though I thought "American Soldier" was sneaky great)

Long live the 'Ryche. Oh, and I saw a Kyuss mention as well. RAWK.

I love Kyuss and QUOTSA, but I never got into Queensryche for some reason. Too oprahish vocals. Probably why I didnt care much for Iron Maiden too.

And the guitars always sound TOO perfect. Like digital. Too produced for my ears. Thats why I like the rawness of Kyuss and QUOTSA

QOTSA are one of my all time favorite bands. The cover art for "Rated R" is my twitter avi. Queensryche, on the other hand, yeah - they are different than QOTSA. Definitely have a very produced sound and if you're not in to the operetic voice then they just aren't your thing. No biggie. But I run in to hardcore QR fans often and there's just a weird bond the fanbase has. Been following them since 1991. Defend them till I die!

Dont know why I keep adding a U to QOTSA, lol.

Your right on every aspect. Queensryche has a serious hard core following. Its pretty cool honestly even though Im not a fan of the band's music.

My fav Qotsa is Songs for the Deaf, but thats most, I would assume. A couple albulms are almost too abstract for my tastes, but man.. the writing and compositions are off the charts.
