Just went to Wet N Wild with my wife. In the middle of the wave pool stood a 50-60 something year old man with a red mullet and white sunglasses. He just stood in the same spot looking at girls as young as 6 years old I'd say. He'd just scan side to side but I'd see him lock onto a little girl floating by on a tube. My wife pointed him out because of the mullet. I told her to watch where he was looking for a few minutes. She figured it out and was creeped the fuck out. The whole place is staffed with teenagers so I don't know what telling them would do. Plus he just stood there.
I should mention we got there, he was in the spot in the middle. We left after 15 minutes, went on a ride and ate lunch. Came back, he is in the same spot. It isn't that fun to just stand there for an hour. If he was a lifeguard he had no shirt or anything to show it.
Take a picture of him, then take a picture of him so he sees you taking a picture of him. Then ask to speak to the manager, show him the pictures and explain why you're concerned. Looking at people isn't a crime but if he is up to something he won't like having his picture taken and will most likely leave.
Maybe his granddaughter was kidnapped a few years back, and he frequents pools and chuck-e-cheeses looking for her. He's not entirely sure what she looks like since years have gone by and she was just a baby then, so he has to study each girl that is approximately the right age. But he's sticking with the search and not giving up, spending his days standing in the hot sun, even though people assume he's some sort of pedophile. barfo
Here is what I hope I would do, but you never know until it happens. I would watch him for a bit, and if I really though he was fishy (pardon the pun) I would first check with the workers there and see if he was supposed to be there as a lifeguard, an owner or something else I'me not thinking of. If they didn't have a clue who he was, and I was still sure he was creeping on kids, I would go up to him and ask him outright but in as non-confrontational way as possible. Judge his answer, but hopefully if he was perving out, he would feel busted and leave on his own. I would not physically try and remove him, but if after confronting him he stayed there and I was still convinced he was kid-oggling, I would just stand a 10-15 feet away staring at him, making him too uncomfortable to continue.
I didn't know what to do. Just like the guy I saw peeping out from behind his newspaper at the food court in the mall a few years ago I really didn't have proof other than I just KNEW what he was doing. I've been wrong before and nobody else seemed to notice a wildly out of place single 60 year old man with a hideous mullet standing in the middle of the wave pool for an hour. I thought about waiting until he left and following him home to see if his address came up on some pervert list of some sort. It was just so obvious but like I said there were just 18 year old kid employees everywhere. I doubt they would even care if they did notice him.
This is the same way he comes up with his political stances. Hooks a chain to something deep and pulls it out.
I'd probably just tell some lifeguard or manager on duty there's a creepy looking dude they might want to watch.
That's probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my political point of view. I'm touched. barfo
