Group think leads to a consensus. Do you understand that? And group think is fed by fear. In this case, a fear of change.

 

If you had any legit evidence to prove your opinion, I would take it seriously. But you don't. Your opinion actually goes against logic.

 

Consensus can be a result of group-think, but that's not the only path to consensus. What we consider to be fact today is nothing more than consensus. If new information that refutes those facts is discovered, and if there is consensus that the new information is correct, then our reality changes and we operate under a new set of facts.
We build our reality every day through consensus. Reality as we know it is a human construct, it is not an absolute and it is not static.

i was just trying to give an example of why consensus is not reality... It used to be the consensus that minorities were less than whites in America. Was that true? It was the consensus that Jews should be eradicated. It was consensus that we should send rangers to rock climb into Cuba.

Let me get this straight. Your original list includes the likes of Steve Kerr as a third tier player, who never averaged over 8.6 ppg or 3.2 apg, and you're somehow equating that to your list of current 3rd tier players like Cousins or Lillard or Harden? Are you insane?

Dude... you listed McHale who'd been retired like 3 or 4 years before guys like Marbury even got into the league. A little hypocritical are we? If you want to compare this current year to 20-25 years of basketball then yeah, those 20-25 years could probably field a better team... not exactly apples to apples though.

 

So you're trying the compare every hall of famer from the 70's through the late 90's, to just people playing this year??? Really?
